this is the best tree stand bar-none love this stand. had mine from 1984. had to replace the seat two times and thats it. loged many hours asleep to wake up and find deer under me. its unreal give it A++++ other than its heavy but it makes up for that with safety and comfort
I have two Tree Lounges that I leave in the woods during hunting season. The weight is a little much for a stand, but it allows me to spend 12 hours plus in a stand without any discomfort. Its nothing like getting 30+ ft and not worring about safety.
Had it for many years, couldnt deal with the loud metal noise and putting so many screws in the dark and getting it ready to climb up,also the fact that you are standing on the platform which is 3 feet away from the tree meaning youre basicaly standing on the air depending on 2 aluminum screws is realy scary.replaced with a summit and love it!!!!!!!
I see your point, but I have never read of ANY accident involving a Tree Lounge Tree Climber, I bought mine back in 2005 after about 3 months of comparing different models, and decided to go with the Tree Lounge, I will trust 2 small screws to support my 210 lb body plus gear (225 lb) because I always wear the Tree Harness, if my stand falls- then I don't, it took me awhile to get over the fear from being 3 ft away from the tree, and I have the stand up platform attachment on the end too!
The most comfortable stand you will ever hunt from....have spent 12 hours in one sit many times....The longer your in the woods the more success period...worth every penny
It is comfortable but to heavy and bulky for long hikes. With the foot rest and bow adapter it is over 30 pounds. It is a bit noisy and hard to fool with putting together in the dark. Not worth the $400.00 dollar price tag either. I sold mine like most people do and got a summit.
we hunt in Eastern Oregon were it can get in the teens in the morning and the 70's in the afternoon. we have a tree nest with this stand and I love it. this video is my dad on his first time with the stand. i think it is funny to watch him bounce on the stand ensuring a good bight.
I own a tree loung with the "nest" and I sit all day comfortably something i've never done before in a treestand, i'm talking 10+ hours. I have no experience in the Viper, but i do recommend the Tree lounge
is this stand really worth what you pay for it?....in regards to comfort....Im stuck between a tree loung and a summit viper with all the fixins on it
Or if your rich enough

I've had mine since 1996, it's great and I too have had some wonderful knaps, only to wake up and find the deer had walked right under me. No Joke!!

I get my best naps in my tree lounge. Wouldn't even think of trading it in for a Summit. Oh, and I have killed some nice deer from it also.

Where is your safety harness? Never climb without a safety harness.
I own a TL, too. Very comfortable. I call it the 12-hour stand because I can stay in it 12 hours and it feels like I've been in a recliner all day.
