on a scrub you turn into and lean the bike very hard before the bike leaves the ramp.as to scrub speed and height, as to have more take off speed and more landing speed, and not get as much air, you can't accelerate in the air. you need very little or no brake just before you leave the ramp. the scrub is the brakes, that's how you gain on your competition.
