  • 3:40. The thumb and index finger both inside is a pretty clear indication of traditional cross grip. That would be my guess. But does it really matter? lol this piece is EPIC.

  • we had a drumline show based on this...

  • What grip are they using?

  • @travioli48 Burton?

  • This will take some practice for me to do.... holy shit

  • Is it possible to slightly rearrange this to play it on a 5.0 and a 4.3?

  • @Psychokinesismaniac Me and a friend are currently taking this beast on and We have been practissing it on a 5.0 and a 4.5 but I think that appart from the low C everything else is A and up. (I do not have the score to double check but I know it is possible on a 4.5 for sure and I can't think off the top of my head a spot where I hit lower than the A.)

  • Are they using burton?

  • @Burritopizzasauce7

I think yes, you can see on 2:03

  • I'm playing this for my 10th grade solo/ ensemble and it's so frustrating!! D:

  • Im hearing symphony 10 mvt. 2 for sure.

  • The best way is to buy directly from the composer,

    moragadi@gmail.com

  • Wonderful piece. I was wondering if anyone knows how to purchase this piece. I have checked their website but I can't find it. This description says its published so if anyone knows, an answer would be greatly appreciated.

  • insane nice work guys...one of my favorite marimba pieces

  • these guys are so freakin awesome!

  • Bravo !!! Genial !! J' adore !!

  • Loved you guys in the conservatory in Amsterdam, too bad you didn't tell the story about the tailor Adi. Haha.

  • As a percussion major, I can easily say that this is INSANE. Probably my new favorite marimba piece. I LOVE this. I hope I can hear this live one day. 5/5 and favorited.

  • haha love the smoke!

  • i want to learn this so bad!!!!!!! lol

  • I was able to see these guys front row center in Munich with the Bavarian State Orchestra a few weeks ago. Just stunning! And the array of instruments they had on stage to strike was incredible. I was particularly pleased with how the German audience received these two Israeli musicians. Everyone was way impressed. Zubin Mehta conducted. See them when you can.

  • I'm pretty Jealous tbh, it's a shame they will probably never come to Australis :(

If they came with Israeli Phil I didn't get to see it because tickets were like $280 at Sydney Opera House :S

  • AMAZING!

  • hi

    share music with percadu

  • and if you want the music, it's about 60-80 bucks. you can order from their website

  • Nice! Can I get the sheets?

  • Wow... this takes some serious chops to play.

  • quel morceau !!!! j' adore . où peut on trouver la partition pour pouvoir le jouer ...

MERCI d ' avance si vous savez où je peux me procurrer la partiton .

  • muito dahora , os caras tocam muito

  • what type of grip are they using?? ive never seen it before

  • they are using musser, or fulcrum grip

its like a loose type of burton with weird fulcrum points, but i say the best overall grip if you can get good at it

  • This is a possible musser but for a fact not fulcrum, For Fulcrum the hand must be completely faced so the thumb is at the top and the hand is not turned to its side. It could be a "lazy fulcrum" but I would have to say Burton is what is going on

  • It's called burton grip. the mallet stick ends should cross eachother like an X.

  • i thought that the mallets stuck out between the middle and ring finger and between the thumb and the pointer finger though??

  • Yes that grip refers to fulcrum and burton. Burton just has the outside mallets crossing over the inside mallets to form an X with the mallets. I'm more of a Snare/tenor guy so I don't know the little stuff but thats what i have been doing for marimba solos and such anyways

  • It is indeed Burton.

  • o ok. i played mallets for 3 years before i moved to tenors and i always used musser grip.

  • Yeah pretty much same but 2 years of high school marimba, then moved to tenors. I love tenors lol

  • yeah tenors are what im really into right now. im trying out for core next year

  • nice dude, what core??? I also am going to try out for some

  • the closest one to me. Capital Regiment. then ima work my way up to bigger cores the next year

  • oh sweet dude! maybe i'll see you in the phantom regiment??? lol

  • possibly lol. but i think im going to try out for Crown after one year in core

  • oh dude nice nice, crown's 09 show was sick!

  • yeah i know!

  • It's spelled corps...

  • the tenor tech works my college and he's really cool

  • sweet. their tenors were the shit this year! lol

  • I saw these guys perform last night, they pwn ass!!!!! Amazing!!!!

  • Amazing piece, definitely gonna play it next year, it reminds me as well a lot of the Schostakovitch's 10th. I wanted to ask what sticks are used for the piece on this video if anyone knows, cause im about to get new ones and have no idea what to take exactly...

  • yeah!!! medium firth... and then very soft

  • "abc" mallets, solo.

    Hand made in Holland

  • @borna22

You're right about the similarity to Shosty 10!

  • yea dat is beast

  • this is the most beast thing i have ever saw

  • Is it just me or are there a lot of references to the second movement of Shostakovich's 10th symphony in here?

  • as an aspiring percussionist, this inspires me.

  • Demasiado Genial!!!!! quede sin palabras...

    In English:

    Really GREAT!!!! just got speakless...
