  • try a "slippery ring knot"!

  • Thanks!

  • This is so exciting... I'm going to set up my very own hammock in my room :) :)

  • what kind of cloth can i use for this?

  • WOW, this is GREAT, very well-done. I read on another post that you may be creating a how-to book on hammock making and how to do misc. knots???

If this is true, plz make a video once you release this book telling us so, cause! I'm already ready to buy it!!!!

Please see "High Thech Hammock CD" video on my channel or go to Hamacas Taino Dot Com slash Products

  • Great vid! Did you install the hook directly into the 2x4 stud or you have a sturdier setup? I was at the hardware store wondering about the hooks - they support over 300lb but was told the hardware is fine; the problem is the stud is not safe for a hammock bc it could snap with the weight and damage the house structure. I was told to use a 4x4 safely attached on top and bottom. what are your thoughts/experience about the integrity of the house structure with a hammock installed on studs? Thnx!

  • I've set up many many hammocks this way and never had a problem with the studs failing.

(Of course, I cannot be held responsible for anyone's stud failure... do it at your own risk... yada yada...).

But I haven't had a problem yet using 3/8 eye bolts.
