Wow, this is Fantastic! Been here many a time, I so love the San Juans, they are just magical! Makes me want to drive up next weekend! Thank you so much for sharing, one of the better vids I've seen in a while of resident orca, really nice!!!
Most of their actions are like the orcas in SeaWorld, Orlando! How fortunate for those who dwell there, getting a chance to see their puckish acts! I guess there is a dolphin in the company of this pod coz I saw him spyhopping. I presume these are offshore orcas!
@TamilianPonnu These are all actually Southern Resident whales. Orcas are a part of the dolphin family, and the spyhop you saw was an Orca. Thanks for watching I am glad you enjoyed it!
@tsksnowboarder, Sorry, I mistook Southern Residents for Offshore but how far do they travel coz they meet the transients and they don’t associate with them!
All of the footage was taken from this one location that is accessible to the public. It is one of the best places in the world (well besides a boat) to see Orcas. Warner Brothers actually did a lot of the filming for the Free Willy Films here. The footage is from a researcher who has 20+ years of video, I just picked the ones I liked best. :) But thanks, and I am glad you liked it.
AWESOME!

What could be the main reason for avoiding them?
