There are a few things I won't stand for anymore,either..lack of morals and taking and no giving..relationships are give and take not all giving from one person..wake up and smell the coffee, for a supposedly book smart person you have absolutely NO street smarts or have a clue how real relationships work, being in cyber space has made you socially retarded !!
My uncle Raellee used to tell his wife "he wasnt gonna stand for it" (his wife's cheating), so she kicked him in the no-nos, and said ,"now yo ass can sit for it"
love this tune. it's often said he (somehow) lost it after 'songs in the key of life'. but it's NOT true. genius just develops - who are we to rate him? really?
This Stevie Wonder country/soul song, a la Ray Charles,(Later covered by Eric Clapton in 2001)was released on Motown's Tamla Records label as Tamla 54320 in December 1980
Your comment about Charlie Wilson rings a few bells after listening to this track hundreds of times. Was this before or after the Gap band had a hit with, 'Big Fun'? I suspect so.
@ddmcgee1986 Ok get it right!! Charlie Wilson is alive, Ronnie WIlson the older of the two Gap Band brothers died! The Gap Band have performed since 1967, but they got theirfirst big gig performing back up for this Stevie Wonder hit!
Sounds like Stevie was going Country on this ditty releases on a 45 back in 1981.
