I can't stop listening to this. It keeps reminding me of my best friend, whose funeral I attended a couple of months ago, it brings tears to my eyes, it is so beautiful!
Well done, this has really recaptured how Amazing Grace should be played.
Thank you so very much! I am getting prepared to do another instrumental album and including this song on it with full accompaniment. It will be ready by mid summer (fingers crossed)
Hey borther, awesome job, be blessed, you think you can do a tutuorial of the exact same thing you did for the song? Im in the process of learning that style for my church and this video is amazing, please do tutoriol. Thanks God bless
Love it, love it, love it your version made me feel the way amazing grace is suppose to be felt .I can't say enough about this I LOVE IT. Thank You so much for posting

talent is not the main factor , its diciplin and hard work, im sure hes been practicing very hard to get here but sure, hes got talent no doubt good job ^^
Thank you karlfilm08. God gave me the talent to strictly play piano by ear but its hard work and lots of dedication as well. I love playing piano. Its so soulful and I love playing what I feel. But I recently broke my left wrist and I am so sad bc I can't play. But Im trying to take twenty minutes to strengthen my wrist by playing little at a time. Its theraputic for me. And important.
The keyboard in this video is an M-Audio Keystation Pro with lots of controls. I however, did not like the action and gave it to a friend. My new one is a CME Intelligent controller model UF80. Much better action and with better feel, plus it is widi (wireless midi).
They are both very inexpensive...399 new for the keystation and 599 for the CME but the difference in action alone was worth it for me to change.
Thanks again Falcon! Got more vids coming soon! Larry
hi Larry1961, very nice the gospel feeling you have and which you put into this beautiful old syne. thank you for this. regards hans. I did a slightly different version on my channel. It would be appreciated to see you commenting this. thanks for coming. youre welcome.
What I do for most slow songs is to first understand the touch sensitivity of a piano or very good keyboard. And I do not use rhythm at first, but sometimes hold a note, making it linger while everyone is awaiting the next note...sort of a teaser. And eventually I get into a rhythm, but can fall back out of it into just running through the keyboard with brief pauses. I listened to your videos and they are quite well done. You have good chord structure. More later.
Hi, Br.Larry, I go to Br. Jeff Bryant's church. I am currently playing piano there, although not as well as you are! I've been taking lessons with a piano teacher for about 6 months. I'm hoping one day to be able to play like you. You're music is beautiful. God Bless!
thank you so very much! I used to travel with Br Jeff many years ago (although he probably wouldn't want to admit that lol JK)
I would love to talk about piano to you as it is a passion of mine. Helpful hints would first include "Know thy chords" and when I say know them, know all 3 positions for each chord and know them without having to look at the keyboard. Transition your chords smoothly which comes by practicing without looking and for goodness sake don't be afraid to make mistakes!:)
Right now I don't have much to practice on at home, just a really small keyboard. The nice one is at church. With 2 little I don't get to practice much, but I'm going to try to make the time. I know that's what I need to get better. All 3 positions huh?? .... LOL! Well, keep me in your prayers then!! I'm not even real good yet with root postions! Thank you for the advice. If you think of any more keep it coming!!!
LOL definitely will. And when I started I had an 8-track of Jimmy swaggart and NO keyboard. I listened to runs and then snook out to the college across town, broke in at night just to try to practice what I had heard in the college music room lol. (but don't tell anybody ;)
i love it!! do you have any kind of sheet music for it? i have been wanting to do somthing like this for a compition i am in, but i can't find anything that would help me.
Thanks for the kind words. It is something that I just grew into. I started out with old 8-tracks of Jimmy Swaggart...I would listen intently and then sneak out at night to the local college and sneak into one of the music rooms and just try to emulate him, but it grew into my own style I guess. That and a lot of prayer lol!
This is awesome. I want to play like that someday. Do you have Sheet for this music? Or did you improvise? This video is really amazing. Thank you very much!
No, I will not be as I do not have the equipment. I am still trying to pick up from the videos pple post If you can do scan a copy of what you play for me. If not, an instructional video will be good. I like to pick up different ways of playing. Never had a chance to have a lesson though. Yes, I actually wanted the right hand extra notes people add as mine is boring.
Confused?I commented on PianoGs on his playing and got a reply from a larry1961 and did a video on what i requested are you the same person? This video is a refreshing change from the usual Thanks!!!!!!!!
lol I'm a bit new here and thought that you were asking if anyone had right-hand techniques, etc. (If memory serves). Thanks for the comments. Are you going to be posting music?
one never knows when their music will reach out and help someone through a rough spot--really nice
