I think it's the way they read the Bible. Throughout the centuries, the Church has seen the Bible as a library. You have to read certain books pertaining to the genre it is. Genesis is a metaphorical poem.You cannot read the Bible with only one set of lenses. You have to have a variety of lenses to wear while reading the Bible.
I just wanted to say that I liked hearing what you had to say about the "amazing" atheist and Shirley Phelps. I've known Shirley for six months. I even spent a weekend with her family and went to a sermon of theirs. I got some great interviews (way better than the amazing atheist, although I'm not trying to brag). He's an insulting person who doesn't even KNOW what the bible says, and he defends Shirley Phelps, the most extreme religious woman in America when he knows nothing about the religion
I think it's really good to express your self and say your opinnion and all, but the topic your talking about god is too deep and I would tell you that if you don't like other peoples opinnion on something that you believe in, still stick to your own belief(like you did).personnely, again, I don't really stick to the religion belief and just live my life having a little hope and w.e else jumps in. It's nice to see a normal person who has actually looked it up and understands what Satanism is. We're not all assholes who want to hurt people, we just put our wants and desires first. I never said you didn't have a right to your own opinion, I'm even willing to listen to you. However there is a big difference between us. I base my beliefs on the facts rather than what feels good. There are so many mistakes about reality and contradictions in the bible only an imbecile would believe those were the words of a supreme being.

I have a feeling that if you listen again, our beliefs are more similar than you think.

With people sometime being funny or crazy tends to mask how a person really is: are they sad or having a hard time. This side of you seemed vunerable and unmasked. All Christians ARE hypocrites; I should know, I am one (a hypocrite & a Christian). Anyone who believes in a standard for how life should be lived is going to fall short of that standard from time to time, that's actually the point. "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We sin, God forgives us, we move on. As for being judgmental, I think A LOT of people are in for a surprise as to who will be getting into heaven and who won't on Judgement Day.

Someone I have found interesting lately is GeorgeLikesTacos. He's a complex but straightforward guy, a stay-at-home dad and Iraq veteran. Like yours, some of his videos are just pure entertainment, others are very serious. He avoids politics, so I'm not distracted by his views and I find his videos compelling. Worth finding on search.

I agree with alot that you say. I myself, do not believe in what the The Amazing Atheist says, but I watch him, because 1) everyone can their point of view on things 2) the man is actually very intelligent.

Bravo Jen. Incredibly open minded and intelligent video. It's great when you're able to put things in perspective. I don't pay much attention to the people who are most subscribed because IMO, they have the least to say and are the least entertaining in most cases.

My favourite video from you so far. YouTube is mainly undergound and I'm glad you ran the Non-stars contest just so that I've been able to find some really good youtubers that I prefer to a most of the "famous" tubers.

Way to go Jennifer. Truth is that I am much more likely to watch your 'Dark Side' videos than anything else. I think you are an intelligent and even wise woman, and that shines through more in the dark.

Someone I have found interesting lately is GeorgeLikesTacos. He's a complex but straightforward guy, a stay-at-home dad and Iraq veteran. Like yours, some of his videos are just pure entertainment, others are very serious. He avoids politics, so I'm not distracted by his views and I find his videos compelling. Worth finding on search.
Also, gpert's response to Renetto has some good thoughts on the vlog fame thing :)

I agree with alot that you say. I myself, do not believe in what the The Amazing Atheist says, but I watch him, because 1) everyone can their point of view on things 2) the man is actually very intelligent.

Actually this video was one of you best .. Hope to see more of you .. just you .. I think sometimes we try to impress,that's probably why we want big. Humans in a community want to be the alpha it just nature. To want something you can have but most of time is out of reach.

i will say you have to be the biggest hidden talent out there, you give all the props to everyone else.
i gotta say that your own video's should be featured, this one piticular, you always are finding ne and interesting people for us all to enjoy.

I like this side of you, talking about your views and thought. But I like you more going indept point like Youtube celeb. cash in on their so call fame. For example BOBS4KIM raise money youtube to get her new computer because her old broke. It's great that her "friends" helping her out but I think it so wrong the way they proach it . However wouldn't I rant on why (to long). It's a new low for youtube. What's your thought on that???

Bravo Jen. Incredibly open minded and intelligent video. It's great when you're able to put things in perspective. I don't pay much attention to the people who are most subscribed because IMO, they have the least to say and are the least entertaining in most cases.

Oh wow, Jen... I feel... so...honored. I have just...so many things to say after watching this. I've always known that you had a deeper side to you, because well...everyone does but. You're way different than any other person I know of. It is just something about you. And I think everyone will enjoy The Dark Side. I'm glad the Dark Side wasn't so dark. :)
