@1bulma1 Spock is half human and as a result has the capability to have emotions. His personal conflict between his Vulcan upbringing and his human side has been a part of his character since the original series and they delve more into it for the reboot.

I really love this video. The song is a great choice. The rhythm is right on. I just adore it.... Even if it looks like Spock has mommy-issues with the juxtapositioning of her holding Spock in the same way that Nyota is when she's kissing him. But maybe that's just a little Freudian. Still, very good.

The two images are meant to be similar, they are meant to convey just how deeply Spock cares for Nyota, not any underlying "mommy issues" as you suggest.

Vulcans are very touch sensitive and do not encourage people to touch them, the fact he allows Nyota to touch him is very significant, just how significant is emphasised by these two shots. Spock would only permit someone whom he held very "dear" to get that close. Of course I could be wrong but thats just my take on it. :-)

I read your comment and you are right on the money about Vulcans and their sensitivity. In fact as Sarek mentions in the recent film, Star Trek 2009, Vulcans have emotions that run much more deeply than that of a human and so they are extremely sensitive on an emotional level and can feel the thoughts and emotions of other Vulcans. Kind of like a psychic connection.

Can someone tell me what these "Mummy Issues" are cause I'm not sure if I understand what you mean?? The way I see it Spocks "issues" relate to "humanity" as opposed to his "Mother" there is a subtly difference. I never got the feeling he blamed his Mother for being Human. The struggle we witnessed throughout the movie was a struggle within Spock to create a balance that both his Vulcan and Human side could be a peace with. Let me know what you think :-)
