In the early '60's there was a kid's show I used to watch after school in Pittsburgh called "Popeye 'n' Knish" that used this as the theme song for a while.
another great tune.got this on 45 and 78 too.johnny and the hurricanes did a great version of it too.if you haven't got that yet i hope you could find it.it's that great too
May I use your wonderful video on my soon to be launched website as an example of "how things use to be" I was born in 1951 and this brings back wonderful memories. I will let you know when we launch. It is a clean, family/friends oriented website.Thank you for review of my request. Sincerely, cheryl Williams, San Antonio, tx.
Hi Cris They are great for 78's as they cycle really smooth on 78, and yes you should have held on to that Dual, you could have parted it out for 100.00 easily, their parts sell high on ebay. I have another 1229 that has the cam gear out, and the 1219 in good condition that is posted playing short shorts, and a couple of 1225's, but they don't play 78.
Amazing. Thanks so much for posting this.

Del Wood was the greatest inspiration I ever had. I learned a lot from her and to this day sound almost exactly her. God rest her soul.

Ma mère avait un album 33 tours de Dell Wood que j'écoutais étant enfant. Que de bon temps j'ai passé en écoutant cette musique...

I had the same turntable, and when the motor died, I threw it out.. what a dummy I was.. lol. It's a great turntable, and for 78's it's 'perfect'!!
