Say what you want about the Wii. The fact is that the Wii is starting to bring out some great games for the mature gamer, I dont see why this is such big deal, bash it all you want, mock it's graphical capabilities but realistically the visuals are very nice.

yeah it look cool but its on "tracks" that means you cant control your movement you have a set path kinda like a old arcade game with those cool red a blue gun you pointed at the screen.
There are a couple of branching paths that you have to choose, although ultimately it leads you into the same spot, but through longer/shorter more/less enemy populated areas.
Sometimes the character stops, and lets you look around, and find items, and there are some doors, with a generator near them, which you can see for like a second, and then he goes further. But if you shoot it quick enough, you'll go into the room, and there'll be LOTS of ammo and other stuff.
I personally like the game more than the original third person Dead Space released last year, I think it's just much creepier from what I've seen of the footage
well there have been a lack of hardcore games on the wii. this year nintendo has been trying to give us a good supply of those with madworld, the conduit , monster hunter 3 ,silent hill shatered memories and some others
well yeah the story is ok,great,but the game play sucks,the zombies,jaja in the 360 you can figth agains 300 zombies or more,in the wii version becouse of graphics only you can figth whit about 100 zombies,pfffff.

whatever man i just think that games like this aren't exactly the wii's usual style of games. xbox and ps3 usually have more violent titles while wii has more casual games. as for the graphics, how do you know that this is what the final game will look like? trailers always make games look smoother than they actually turn out to be.

I'm just predicting that this game will be short and it won't have that much replayability becuz the scares will always be in the same places and if you new what was going to happen it doesn't even scare you anymore. It maybe good for the wii owners and a "major" step up in terms of mature games but if this was the original dead space for the 360 and PS3 nobody would even care about it. The only plus this has is motion controls and thats about it.

And the second big reason is, it won't stay scary if the Necros just jump out at you repeatedly. That would get old. And the third big reason is, I doubt that they would just place all of the other weapons directly in front of you to just walk over and pick up, along with ammo and health.
I have three big things that are making me think that this won't be a complete rail-shooter. One, I read in my Game Informer that there are alot of branching paths, now, this piece of information alone gives two reasons why it won't be a complete RS. One, I doubt that the Dead Space team would want a 'do you wanna go left or right' option popping up on the screen, and two, in the review, they said that there are alot of benefits for finding the hard-to-find paths, so some looking is involved...

Ummm, even House of the Dead 4 has branching paths when you do something unique. I don't think Dead Space is good as a rail shooter.
They should've sticked in implementing its sequel. But too late, they just tarnished what could've been a good game history for Dead Space by milking money from WII gamers.

playing a game means moving camera, for example many beautiful games like killzone2 or farcry2 (console) have ugly textures, but you dont realize that ingame cause youre moving. from a screenshot you would. and the other way around is possible too, for example because of bad animations and effects, which you cant recognize from a "freeze frame" as i said
but if you cut the clips between a half and 2 seconds long one cant "actually" see anything, and dont bring up pressing pause, you cant see how a game looks from freeze frames.
the graphics will probably be better than the average wii game cause its on-rail gameplay, but even that isnt really visible. i just dont like trailers like this one
Dead Space was on the 360 and PS3, and a big company like EA wants a slice of cash from all sides of the console spectrum, so they're putting out a prequel to the original on a Nintendo system.
Also, it's a rail shooter, which works well on the Wii. It would suck if it was on any other system.

I don't know how much data the Wii disk holds, but I think they should have released Dead Space on the Wii. I could see they implementing motion controls for certain actions like aiming, stomping, and taking a swing at a monster. While this doesn't look bad, its just another Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.

the graphics are pretty nice, the story is awesome, and the gamplay, even though it's a rail shooter, it's pretty unique.

Actually, I beat it some time ago, and the graphics are, IMO, are really good for the Wii.
Although, like with all console games, the AA is 0, which is sad, since jaggies usually ruin the graphics for me...

If the new DS was made to the PS3 it would have much better graphics, and also would have the option of having more of anything (bluray).

try n do that with motion blur
everything you see belongs to "how it looks" and humans see movement. we detect it. animations, effects, postprocessing of all kinds etc.
also technically those belong to graphics, because they are rendered by the graphics card (like everything you see on screen)

playing a game means moving camera, for example many beautiful games like killzone2 or farcry2 (console) have ugly textures, but you dont realize that ingame cause youre moving. from a screenshot you would. and the other way around is possible too, for example because of bad animations and effects, which you cant recognize from a "freeze frame" as i said

but if you cut the clips between a half and 2 seconds long one cant "actually" see anything, and dont bring up pressing pause, you cant see how a game looks from freeze frames.
the graphics will probably be better than the average wii game cause its on-rail gameplay, but even that isnt really visible. i just dont like trailers like this one

Dead Space was on the 360 and PS3, and a big company like EA wants a slice of cash from all sides of the console spectrum, so they're putting out a prequel to the original on a Nintendo system.
Also, it's a rail shooter, which works well on the Wii. It would suck if it was on any other system.

seeing as how this is coming out i think deadspace downfall was a waste to make because this game is pretty much downfall in game form and in first person hopefully they will fix the fuck ups of the movie and correct them with this game. lots of stuff in the movie is messed up. the marker is black, it repels the necros but doesnt do that in the game. and the who death of mathuius was messed up too. so yes deadspace extraction is deadspace downfall pretty much

Omfg, why is it on-rails? I love my Wii, but why did they have to make it on-rails? House of the Dead was ok for on-rails because it's not scary, but this game will be scary after playing it ONCE. After that, you already know where all the scary parts are.

Meaning all that fun exploration and moments you had when you wanted to turn that corner, but you knew there was a Necromorph there...
I mean, you can still have those moments, but the free-roaming exploration aspects will never be fully realized.

Gawl on rails -_-; I dont classify this genre as a "real" game, just a little "pick up and play" thing, I was hoping finally for another Horror adventure game with Wii shooting controls and exploration, but no, shafted again -_-; the only good Adventure Horror we have is still RE4...and where the FUCK IS FATAL FRAME IV ALREADY!? that's Wii exclusive! 3rd person awesomeness, and I hear it rocks! but how come we don't get it!? some of you should start giving Nintendo shit for this...

I don't know how much data the Wii disk holds, but I think they should have released Dead Space on the Wii. I could see they implementing motion controls for certain actions like aiming, stomping, and taking a swing at a monster. While this doesn't look bad, its just another Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.

If this sells well, EA will just use the money from this game to make dead space 2 for 360 and ps3 and then give the wii another half assed game. Same thing capcom did with resident evil.
Even though Re4 and ReUC both sold over 1 million copies, we get spyborgs and Dead Rising (gay) but no mention of a down graded re5 like everybody wants. so either way if you only own a wii, life sucks.

my friend ( a real hardcore 360 gamer) said that this game will be in 2 modes this gay mode where u cant walk freely n another mode where u can but it will be in a third person shooter mode too...but im not realy sure....i got dead space but not for 360 or ps3 but for the pc its fun n like MikeDracoman said in this gay wii mode the fun gets taken out cause there is no more suspence like dead space u will be like wtf where r they!!! but here u will turn n stop n be like oh..here they come........
