  • Magnifique lyric. A poem.

  • What a great voice. This is not even lip-synched. Looks like he sang it live.

  • It was the year I got married. Man landed on the moon. Obviously unconnected.

  • Written by the late great Bobby Scott. he also wrote "a

    taste of honey "

  • @punnybone04 Back when it was released I heard the songwriter on a visit to an orphanage saw a boy carrying a younger boy on his back around the schoolyard. Upon being asked if his burden wasn't heavy, he said, "He ain't heavy. He's my brother."

  • @cel1888tic, @John1948SixA

Kasey Kasem did 2 stints as host of American Top 40 Radio Show. I believe it is currently hosted by Ryan Seacrest. I listened to Kasey for the first 15 years. Wonderful time for music I tell ya!!!

  • @cel1888tic Casey Kasem who hosted America's top-40 from 1970-2004, was also the voice of Shaggy from the cartoon show "Scooby-Doo". His wife Jean appeared in several episodes of the sit-com "Cheers" as the character of Nick Tortelli's (played by Dan Hedaya) (dumb blonde second wife Loretta). Nick Tortelli's character was first married to the character of Carla the barmaid (played by Rhea Perlman, Danny Devito's real life spouse).
