I love the trick but I keep making the same mistake. I always end up with the bottom card of each pile being the soulmate of the prediction cards.

I did the trick correctly a dozen times and thought I was doing it wrong because I didn't catch the fact that, at the end, he turns the three packs over and does not just turn over the top cards of each pile. It was chagrinning me but Now I'm OK with it. I just hope it my audience does not catch me using the top packet of the third pile.

Guys. If the top card is the soul mate to the bottom card (or vice versa, or the fifth card being the soul mate to either one of them) then just put the bottom card down as the top card's soul mate, then for the bottom card's soul mate, just find the soul mate to the card that is NOW on the bottom.

On a video you really don't notice the cards set to the side but in person it looks weird and a bit fishy. Can't you just set the first part of the third pack down and then put the rest of the cards on top of the that stack instead of off to the side? The card is still on the bottom so it should be fine.
