  • I am thinking of buying a 2002 BMW 1200 LT. Is it a good bike. I have heard some people had trouble with the drive shafts . Any feed back would be great. I think they are gorgeous bikes . Thanks

  • I certainly never had any probelms on the 16k miles I've done. BMW service history is critical, these are not machines for some oily back alley firm. If you're really worried take out BMW or AA's mechanical failure insurance, mine was £300 for a year including 24 helpline and full recovery...

  • those hit and run punks

    scum of the earth

all the best to you mate

    incidentally i have a 99 LT

  • I agree, an LT is peretty hard to miss. We the guys licence plate, he was at home just round the corner when the police went to find. He got a two year ban and £50 fine...

In the meantime my claim is still ongoing...

  • Gosh.... that hurts, seeing a K 1200 LT grounded, hope that both, the bike and the driver are still ok now.

  • ooooo... so sorry to see that :-(

As beautiful as she looks (or any other bike for that matter) they do look rather sad when flat on the road.

I hope you didn't have to pay much more than the "standard" 160 pounds everytime she falls.

    Take care.

  • Cool vid!! But what is that metallic screeching noise? It sounds like something is rubbing or loose on your bike?

Sorry to hear about your accident. Did they ever catch that hit and run driver?
