  • Genial, la bailaremos en mi boda. Gracias por la canción.

  • Nice! Shoulda had some pics of protestant churches and their politicians, we are here too and we are Irish as well!

  • @Ulstermandd

DEREK BELL,I think from Belfast, was with the Chieftains until he died too young. He was not I think from the "nationalist" tradition. The music was what mattered for the much loved Derek and for the Chieftains as well. It was Ulster that rescued the music of O'Carolan that survives. BTW,the Chieftains performed at the concert to welcome Queen Liz to Ireland. So,there's no lack of appreciation for all the great traditions of Ireland by our best artists.

  • I"ve been a the crossroads of Muff & Burntfoot!! Brings back memories it does.....!!!

  • @13maja01 the translation of TABHAIR DOM DO LÁMH is 'give me your hand'.

  • This is a nice version, but the definitive one belongs to Liam o' Flynn playing with Planxty. Check that one out if you like this tune.

  • @TheWolvie450 I'll take a listen to that - thanks for the tip, my friend.

  • lovely! I think I have been to some places u've shown... Ireland is such a lovely place! I wish I could spend some more time thr :)

  • I once went to a chieftains concert and Paddy Maloney said this song was written by the irish bard Rory Dall who was a bard to the scottish lord of the isles. Apparently he was taken by the beauty of a scottish chieftains daughter and composed this tune in the 16th century. Its called take my hand as he would have loved to dance with her.

  • @seonidh It's actually "Give me your hand"

  • Great video. I love living here even when it rains. Just sittin on my chair waiting for Spring to arrive and get out walking all over this grand island.

    Happy St Patricks Day earth.

  • Éirinn go brách!

    God bless u Irish!!!

    affectionate regards from Berlin/Germany!

  • Yes, I've been there too. It was the country of my grandparents, a legacy that I could only appreciate by visiting the country. If Ireland was a girl, you'd spill it all out by telling her you love her

  • When the stresses and strains of the modern world get you down, Ireland is the place to visit. When I was diagnosed with cancer, three years ago, I found peace and love in this beautiful country. God bless you for looking after me. God bless the Emerald Isle - one of the most beautiful countries on earth. Absolutely wonderful people too.. Thanks a million!

  • @Derwentcub Ná Bac é mo chara, tá fáilte romhat!!!

  • I hope that your big C is being looked after on all fronts, ie, the medical, and the metaphysical. My father was diagnosed recently. my attitude was, go with the chemo. and then work on the diet and the Reiki, etc. All my best with the future. fight the bastard disease. were all behind you.

  • Thank you so much Hakiblack - very much appreciated, and God bless your father..

  • amhránaíocht iontach

  • Loving the picture of dunnes stores...ya cant bate it!!!

  • The song translates as 'give me your hand', and is a popular slow air for both weddings and funerals, articulating great beauty and love, how is it possible that you have interpreted it as a pro IRA song?

  • 1:33 GLEN COLM CILLE!

    I have that same foto!

    Fantastic!

    Oideas Gael?

  • My great great great grandfather emigrated to Canada from Donegal nearly 200 years ago . This video makes me want to visit my roots.
