@AgentGTO Its really up to what you preffer but some people are old school and will talk shit if you wheel an auto, I have both so it dont matter to me but the auto (1999 sas'd tacoma) is much more easy to drive every day but my 81 hilux is funner:)
@AgentGTO It's a manual 5 spd toyota trans with a high perf. ceramic disc clutch. I've found auto trans' are easier to drive when you crawl because you dont have to shift, however they are more likely to break under heavy torque and loads.
@AgentGTO its better to have manual because you can choose your gear without working the rpms like automatic.... plus manual tranys never break... unless you dont know how to use one
@racecardriver467 the front suspension was an 8" lift, but i took a leaf out for better articulation, so its between 6-8". i also installed the springs backwards so it puts the front end 2-3" forward of stock...longer wheel base. it also has a 12" slip yoke on the front driveline that helps with the angle. it works great with no bind at all!
quite a bit more room than the regular cab i think. originally you could fit 2 tiny people in the tiny seats, but barely!!!! now i have an onboard air compressor, tow straps and a subwoofer in the back compartment.
@MrDuncanBC with a single cab you hit your face on the rear window when you turn around =p. i'd go with the extended, you can store tools, a cooler, whatever back there. plus it's nice being able to recline the seat more than 2 degrees.
whats so retarded about this video? except for the drowning pool music.....

you should chop the bed on that thing
burnday1 1 year ago
@burnday1 could, but would lose valuable bed space that fits dirt bikes, snowmobiles and camper shell. This is a daily driver work truck, too.

Is that a manual trans. I've noticed that in alot of off-roading trucks. Why is it better to have a manual instead of an automatic??

the front suspension is 6" of lift? did you have to rotate your diff your better drive shaft angle?

I think it's 8"
I've had both and the xtra is SO much nicer. You can throw some shit back there instead of having to throw it in the bed or floorboard.

i wonder what will be the difference if i install a Steering Stabilizer to my old 88 s10 blazer 4x4 ???
X2N18 2 years ago
the difference will mostly be a hundred bucks out of your pocket unless your slamming your truck around rocks. keep your stock one.
shmedlyshmee 2 years ago
is this the extended cab? if so what is in the extended part? jump seats?
TheFishExpert 2 years ago
yes it is the extended cab. no "jump seats", just an amp, 12" bass speaker and electric air compressor!
