7sec no bullet holes. 12sec car facing forward. 40sec fender disappeared. 49sec damage on white car, 50sec jump was bs, 56sec white car fixed itself bs. 1:20 how is busting through bars that easy at an angle. 1:30 traffic open middle lane bs. 1:35 see a RPM TACH. 1:35 no crash or boom but some rods instead. 1:39 white car fixed again. 2:39 no bullet holes white car. 2:40 boat no car then car under boat. This doesnt have shit on "Ronin" which was real as possible not fake like this.

This might be splitting hairs, but when Cobra sees the boat and realizes they'll crash there is nothing under the boat.... then when the car crashes there is a car under it that looks a lot like the one the badguys were driving.... is there an alternate version of this scene where the bad guys crash?

It was a Plymouth Volare, and judging by the exhaust sound, it wasn't exactly factory stock.

Granted, the car used for the chase probably wasn't customized in the least, but we're obviously supposed to believe it was. V8, rear wheel drive, light weight....it definitely has the right initial ingredients.

Someone found the surviving car from the movie and restored it. I saw on the web somewhere. It has a turbo 350 Chevy V8 and a 0-60 of 4 seconds.

They built four leadsled 1950 Mercurys for this movie, all with 454ci engines, three were destroyed during this chase.

It was the best thing about the film.

As I recall the last 20 minutes sucked.
