well i don't mind people getting crazy over jimi, he opened up alot of sonic territory for guitarists. kurt was a good songwriter and all, but he never really left his comfort zone of late 80's alternative rock and punk.

@strykah12 Listen to Wilco, then Brand New, then Sonic youth. then dinosaur junior, all of those bands use lots of jazzmaster. newer brand new stuff mainly... most of deja and your favorite weapon are on a telecaster

@ChrisPlugged Rw means Rosewood fingerboard. As far as the color every guitar is different but Fender is pretty consistent with there finish.

The body is alder, not poplar. The Jazzmaster was mainly used by surf bands, session guys, and TV bands when it was first introduced.
