  • So that's why the terrorists went after the twin towers. They were just trying to do the world a favour before all the Shitlight films were made.

  • United 93 is. Thanks.

  • This is a terrible cop out ending, I mean all they are doing is using a great historical tragedy as a cheap means of getting an emotional reaction out of the audience. So this scene only shows us that the people who wrote this garbage movie don't know how to make a good emotional story without going into territory that is terribly offensive.

  • @dididiiproductions I agree. Love how dumb people are. They'll probably cry when Bella is anal raped at the end of the crap twilight franchise.

  • terrible ending, incredibly offensive.

  • @SurfaceCollison explain to me how it's offensive? Jesus what is it with people and having such an obligation to being offended at everything!

  • @schlebb1 Oh, you said Jesus, I'm offended by your blasphemy. =P

  • hahaha, almost there -> not immune to planes, are you, glittery fuck?

  • Whenever the screen went to the date on the board, everyone in the theater was in tears and screaming at the screen. I mean, I think it's a great ending! The fact that it's SO unexpected until then makes it great.

  • just watch???? just go fuck yourself and gimme my 1:08 seconds back...........

  • A man and his hand is a better love story than twilight

  • This was shit.

  • I wanted to cry at the end of this movie. ):

  • So they dropped the WTC bomb on us? that's just weak. At least 9/11 had a significance in.... EVERY other movie that it has ever been mentioned in.

  • @VOCALOIDSUCKS Al Qaeda are the mother fuckers! Muslims have nothing to do with this!

  • I do not like the movie this much but this scene is epic!

  • FUCKING MUSLIM MOTHA FUCKERS

  • did u watch the usual suspect, saw1, se7en and this year the grey ?

  • WOW! I totally understand this!

  • Wow the top comment is just so rude.

  • 2 british actors in an american tragedy? wow...

  • @daisyhinojosa23 no different then american actors pretending to be german, who cares!

  • Awww :'(

  • You know what, the ending offended even me....and I watched both Human Centipede and Meet the Feebles without cringing.

  • This is what happens when people try to create artificial drama and controversy. No matter what kind of disaster you stick at the end of the movie, you won't get anybody to care about his character

  • @PiefaceclownPrdctns Umm, Titanic? Plenty of horrified teenage girls died with Jack.

  • When I saw this in the theatre, people threw candy at the screen and booed when this happened. This is shameful and by far the worst ending of any movie I have ever seen, and also probably ever.

  • @FrozenFourthSeason And yet... people rave about Incredibly Loud and (whatever) Close. It makes no sense to me.

  • @upiluften I forgot, what is that one? Something about 9/11?

  • This movie is a huge POS and it is a crime that they threw in this ending to make you feel something because the rest of this piece of shit couldn't. Cheap garbage movie that only retarded teens can enjoy.

  • @supersmashbros011 I don't enjoy it!

  • everytime i see those buildings it's pretty morose

  • @bkelleher91 First of all, the fact that you think we were showing off is an opinion, and I'm not going to "read up" on opinions, which you seemed to do. They did not want to surrender to our terms, and we warned them of the consequences if they didn't. They fully knew what was coming, especially for Nagasaki. Sure it was a bad thing, but the fact is we formally warned them about it, as opposed to 9-11 where we were not in a war, and it was not even an act of war.

  • @JoeDOMINATESyou the fact is, if you read from an unbiast opinion, and I am a white man, not a Japanese, or even an Asian, Japan had been trying to surrender for months through neutral countries like Switzerland, total surrender, but America refused, they wanted to bully Japan, and make it look weak, they could not accept surrender yet, they hadn't finished fucking them up, the dropping of the Atom bombs was totally unnecessary.

  • @JoeDOMINATESyou , even if you were to ignore the fact that Japan had been trying to surrender to america, a normal carpet bombing raid killed more people, was harder to clean up, and cost less money, America just wanted to show off its new toy.

9/11 financially benefited America and its government phenominally, and gave America a reason behind any action it wished to perform, anywhere, about anything.

Bam, I win, your uneducated opinion was just annihilated.

  • @jackgodbriggs I don't see how you "win." If a carpet bombing worked so well, the war would have ended earlier. Our bombing runs didn't annihilate cities like the nuke did. Also, if you can prove to me that 9-11 was truly, completely beneficial in every aspect to me, then you "win," but the fact that you think such a slaughter of so many innocent people is even remotely okay makes me sick. Actually, even if you can show me the surrender you speak of that we denied, I'll shut up

  • Must remind Americans of their FEARS, must remind Americans of their FEARS Must remind Americans of their FEAR, must remind Americans of their FEAR Must remind Americans of their FEARS, must remind Americans of their FEARS Must remind Americans of their FEAR, must remind Americans of their FEAR Must remind Americans of their FEARS, must remind Americans of their FEARS Must remind Americans of their FEAR, must remind Americans of their FEAR Must remind Americans of their FEARS, must remind...

  • I hope he's there on 8:46 am.

  • well that's the most tasteless and offensive thing I've seen in a while.

  • It's a stupid ending. It doesn't relate to the plot/theme of the movie at all. It's just random and borderline offensive.

  • epic?? that was the most random unrelated ending of a movie ever

  • @avedic why? just because it wasn't released around the time of the anniversary of 9/11 or because it didn't come under a genre relating to real events? it was a film representing realism, allowing the audience to become attached to the characters and their stories, for them to be taken away from us at the end in a way that was based on true events. every victim of 9/11 had their own story before were deceased, and this just represented one of millions of possibilities.

  • @lizx0 no...because it was a decent movie...then, out of NO WHERE, at the last second, they end the movie by piggybacking on 9/11 nostalgia. So, yeah, it seemed a bit contrived. It's a good movie...but it's almost like the filmmakers got to a point and thought, 'man..how are we going to end this? i can't think of anything... oh wait! i know...9/11!"

  • @avedic - the entire movie was based off death, 9/11 just happened to be the cause of it

  • @avedic Um no it wasn't, he dies... the movie was biased on a true story if you don't get that your a pompous fool.

  • @avedic That was I think the point, they didn't overplay the whole the fact it was 2001 because they wanted it to be truly shocking. It wasn't a story about 9/11 it was a story about a victim of 9/11 and I think it played very well to the fact that people who lost loved ones to 9/11 it was truly shocking. It was shocking to the world, one second someone is there the next they are gone. It's unrelated because that is how life is, millions of unpredictable moments rolled into one.

  • Well, that'd be one way to kill a vampire...

  • @VeryAppropriate :))) duuude!

  • @VeryAppropriate Dont for get you get a vampire by killing a wizard...

  • Saw this coming when i watched this movie because of the time frame, also they made a point of never showing Robert P. ever ENTERING the building his father worked at.....

  • Rebuild those towers, shit!!!

    Everyone would agree!!!!!!!!!!

  • @AbductionFailed

    they did its almost finished,

  • @thisphotoisproof I know, but the new buildings aren't just like the old ones.

  • @AbductionFailed They are rebuilding the WTC..Tower 1 will be done at the end of the year..But if the buildings were to be the same, they would draw attention and attract terrorists once again..

  • @PrezBHubbard

I will only be one, and you seem to forget the basis of the original attack. When they attacked us they did just what they had planned, to create terror. They are doing to us what they did to the Soviets back in the 80s and it is working. Bankrupting us. Those wars have a hefty price tag. Ever since then the US has taken away essential freedoms for added security and made us afraid on our on home soil. Their goal was to send a message and spread fear, they did both.

  • @bkelleher91

I didn't murder anyone! Your premise confuses me. We are not whining, we are remembering. I'd never call people from North Ireland whiners if they made a film about those 30 years of your region's history. Are you sick of our politicians using 9/11 in their speeches? Me too! MOST Americans are, we've had 8 years of that fear mongering bullshit and we're done.

And hey, the wars are ending in the Middle East (thank God). We both like that, right?

  • @Mantisisland "I'd never call people from North Ireland whiners if they made a film about those 30 years of your region's history." Yep, but instead you love making action movies about the Troubles. Patriot Games, An Everlasting Piece, The Devil's Own, Blown Away, Ronin. :P That's literally the equivalent of us making an action movie about 9/11; like Die Hard in the Twin Towers. :) By the way, I totally agree with what you're saying. Peace, man.

  • something is a little off, they made a mistake when they made those 3d models of the WTC, they just don't look like their real life counterparts.

  • It is not possibe to discribe this feeling.

  • So exploitative it's sickening.

  • One of the worst endings to one of the worst movies of 2010

  • @bkelleher91 hahahah japan would have never surrendered unconditionally. The people of mainland japan had so much propoganda thrown at them they didnt even know that they were losing the war. Japan by the way was responsible for some of the most horrific war crimes and an invasion of japan would have only lost more lives. Nuking japan was the right way to go man. If we didnt than my grandfather would have been in the invasion force and probobly died.

  • For this, i understand (a) *Léa*

  • words connot begin to express....how hard i laughed when i saw this

  • @bkelleher91 Pretty sure we are over it, and its not like we think its the most tragic thing that's ever happened in the world, just caught people off guard. To me the Holocaust was infinitely more sad than this and I'm never forgetting the shit we pulled on Japan at the end of WWII.. And quit blaming individual people on Youtube for starting wars, not like we walk to the nearest government building and shout out "Hey, lets go halfway around the world and kill a buttload of innocent people!"

  • this movie is pure shit, he spend like one half of it watching outside the window pretending to look sad or something, and the other doing retarded things like smashing the class of his little sister or get involved in brawls, and im glad if i spoiled something to someone, it was waisted times anyway.

  • I was gonna like this clip... then Robert Pattinson showed up.

  • its awesome cause little vampire boy dies!

  • @bkelleher91 I cant continue a debate of stupidity with a moron....and the fact that your Irish makes it even worse, because I'm part Irish myself. But read up on your history, and measure the actual dependence (both economic and military wise) European countries like your own take for granted what the American tax payer has to put up with.

  • @bkelleher91 Haha...a brit accusing an American of belonging to an empire.....oh the irony.

  • Im going to hell for this

HE SO SPARKLY SHINY THAT THE PILOT GOT BLIND AND CRASH RIGHT INTO HIM

  • This movie sucks though.

  • When I saw the date on the board I started screaming!

  • @bkelleher91 Irrelevant.

The United States didn't want peace, they wanted blood.

  • This movie was so forgettable. And then when this ending happened, in the words of the spill crew, FUCK THIS MOVIE

  • Just when I say," EDWARD URE GUNNA DIE!!!" the vid ends

  • This movie is bullshit!

  • you had me until i saw a gay sparkling thing on my screen... GTFO now

  • This movie was excellent until this scene

  • @JeonardShadby505 - You are entitled to your opinion, but the way I talk or spell doesn't render my opinion any less important. I am free to express my opinion just as you are free to express yours, but the way I choose to express that opinion is my choice, not yours.

  • @PhilHughes20 -- you are missing the point completely. the ending of this movie was to show that just like the event itself, that no one saw it coming. no one saw this ending coming and no one saw the real thing coming. it wasnt meant to offend anyone.

  • I hate that the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are referenced. The Japanese initiated the war. We used the atomic bombs because the US estimate death toll for an invasion of mainland Japan was estimated at over a million. Put things in perspective before condemning that which you don't understand.

  • i dunno, there's way better endings than this :p

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... holy shit, i wasn't paying attention to the date :O

    i thought he killed himself

  • This Was So Funny. I'm not making fun of 911. I'm laughing at how badly this scene is executed.

  • lol

  • vampires dont die

  • lol best ending ever

  • I haven't seen this movie but the effect of the towers is crap. The boats in the background image don't move and the North Tower is too much higher than the South Tower.

  • I remember seeing this in theaters and I have to say it was the first time in my whole life I literally said "Oh god...no it can't be...oh crap" at a movie I've never said it since. a lot of people say oh that's a cheap emotional trigger. I tell you what when I watched this a second time I paid attention more and you could pick up the date a little, but the fact that they wrote the main characters so well that you didn't is rare in movies today.

  • you don't understand why we used nukes. totally different reason. you can't compare dropping a nuke and 9/11. we didn't understand the after effects of nukes in 1945 only that we needed to prevent millions of soldiers from dying

  • @chillaxer1993 exactly it dude, not even close to being the same

  • I was expecting a damn plane!

  • its sad that ppl can't see it for what it is. This movie evoke such the raw emotion n tragedy regardless of who did what. The day so many people loss their lives, You can compare n say other moments in history but the end of the day the point of the movie wasn't comparin or being manipulative but simple complexity of someone, a loved one in their everyday lives and how such a reminder that thousands of lives loss could be seen so vividly through the eyes of tyler n how hauntingly unforgettable.

  • The real ending to Twilight.

  • Don't worry! He is just gonna jump out and magically fly to a tree :D! Right? RIGHT? D:?

  • edward isnt sparkling...

  • How sad. I feel like he knew something as going to happen because he was staring out the window so sadly. When I watched the movie, I thought it was your typical love story, but then I saw the date on the board and i was just...

  • No way.. on the morning of September 11th... before the terrorist attack, that is... this is epic.

  • @UltimateSuperiority you should seriously seek help, my friend. I don't like Twilight either but that is extremely immature, man. People died from these attacks and showing them in a movie would offend the viewers that actually had loved ones that died in the attacks. If you really want to see Robert Pattinson die, go watch 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' Voldemort kills him at the end of the movie.

  • 3000 Americans are killed: "Poor us, boo hoo"

250,000 Japanese killed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki: "America, FUCK YEAH!"

200,000 Iraqis killed and 2 million displaced: "WE ARE CARRYING OUT GOD'S FUCKING WILL, FUUUUUUUCKKK YEEEAAAAAHHH!"

  • @Rhys2692

This isn't a question of "who deserves more sympathy" mate. The point is that people died, and that is enough to call it sad. Hiroshima and Nagazaki were tragic events too, but there is no reason to be trawling that up for the sake of argument.

If you want an excuse to post criticism, I suggest you avoid posting it on a very sensitive subject.

  • @Rhys2692 we had a reason dumb shit

  • i cried like alittle bitch for 30 mins cause i saw this right after the 10 year memorial off 9/11 with all those kids such a powerful movie

  • The ending wasn't added to be manipulative. The movie was in fact about 9/11. It showed us a life of a young man who tragically died in the attacks. It was meant for the audience to fall in love with a character and to have them leave suddenly-such as those families in real life. They didn't just say "Oh, how should we end this? I know! Let's kill him in the WTC!" They knew what they were doing, and they did it respectively, in my opinion. Very few movies can make me cry, but this one sure did.

  • I enjoyed this movie as a nice, small, poignant, well-acted drama, but this ending never sat well with me. To use 9/11 for such a corny, manipulative reason--to wring tears from the audience, blunt force trauma style--feels wrong. Cheap. And the way it's presented as a Keyser Söze style twist, with the blackboard-date revelation, adds insult to injury.

  • This ending shocked me so much..I've never cried in a movie before..atleast not since I was a little girl

  • America: talks about 9/11 all the time, nuked japan twice

  • @jacobgr43 America had a reason.

  • @xSargeFeredx yeah they had a very good reason to kill 130,000 civillians the same way those terrorists had a reason to kill those couple of thousand people in the twin towers.

  • @jacobgr43 when u bomb the worlds best military dont think nothing is going to happen japan getting nuked is what happed if they never bombed pearl harbor they would have not got a nuke up their ass

  • @DarkYoshi19 basically your soliders bomb our soliders so we'll just bomb your civillians, you cause that doesnt sound morally abhorent.

  • @DarkYoshi19 Another stupid american ill guess,

They bomb about 0.5% of your countries soilders,

You bomb 30% of their capitals Civililians.... Nice

  • @MrRonock First off it wasn;t just a military base at pearl harbor. Several hundred dock workers along with airfield maintenence. Second it was a different time, the scale of attack on the harbor had never been seen before especially on american soil. Third the original targets of the bombs were military cities due to weather they changed target The simple truth is the nuke we dropped was just as bad as some of the things the japanese empire did at the time. Wiki "The Rape of Nanjin".

  • @MrRonock This is not meant to troll you. This is meant to educate you on how the world is. Instead of criticizing what the US did, take a look at what had been happening for nearly ten years before our involvement. We never took pride in destroying so much, we only celebrated when japan surrendered and then sent hundreds of doctors and civil engineers to aid in reconstruction of their cities, many of whom died of rad sickness or ended up with cancer several years later

  • @MrRonock another idiot not knowing and btw where did u get those numbers

  • @DarkYoshi19 if they didnt nuke pearl harbor, they would have won and we'd be in a different world.

  • @Harukoozt japan didn't 'nuke' peal harbour, they did a surprise attack

  • @mrstucko bomb i meant. was reading different comments about nukes and put nuke instead of bomb.

  • @xSargeFeredx agreed

  • @jacobgr43 Yeah because of war idiot. They were killing more of our men with deathcamps, torture and battle. What else were we supposed to do... Also after Pearl Harbor. 9/11 was because of a terroistic act.

  • @jacobgr43 To end a war, not start one!

  • @jacobgr43 Pearl Harbor?

  • @jacobgr43 Other Countries: Talk about America all the time. Aren't better than the "bad" Americans.

  • @jacobgr43 Well no shit retard. Ever heard of Pearl Harbor and what happened? Japan attacked us first, its completely different. 9/11 was a terrorist attack on America, nuking Japan wasn't a terrorist attack. You and the 24 people that liked your comment are the reason this country is as retarded as it is.

  • @Freshlywashed It's not about who attacked who first, ok nuking Japan may have been the only way but to be fair its about how many people were killed. America nearly killed as many Japanese as Hitler did jews.

  • @ashl33able

We kind of had a logical reason. Not just killing for power, but because they asked for war.

  • @Freshlywashed im not in your country so how could i be the cause of its retardation?

  • @jacobgr43 this is a very sad and ignorant comment that all historians are laughing at.

  • @isingsongsonvent it is true. while we bombed two innocent cities, we could have easily just bombed kyoto (let alone, we didn't necessarily have to bomb in the first place).

  • @jacobgr43 we were in war with them, and the attacked us, what were we supposed to do send them a gift basket???

  • Comment removed

  • @jacobgr43 Not only did they attack us first, but we were in a state of war with Japan, and each time we dropped an atomic bomb we warned them to surrender first. When that failed, fliers were dropped telling the citizens of those cities to leave. That's a lot different than getting sucker punched like 9-11. Read up before making ignorant references next time.

  • @jacobgr43

    fucking idiot

  • @MrNegroPie u mad?

  • @jacobgr43 dont even try to compare 9/11 to the bombings of hiroshima and nagasaki. Two completely different things with completelty different circumstances behind them

  • @yousuckjontalbert yeah one of them caused more civillian deaths guess which

  • @jacobgr43 Ya well nuking japan ended the single deadliest conflict in the history of the world and made an invasion of mailand japan unecessary. An invasion which would have had over a million casualties on both sides. 9/11 was an unprovoked act of hatred in a time of piece by people following a twisted idea. nice try dumbass

  • @yousuckjontalbert I don't know if you could honestly call how shitty America's foreign policy is/was unprovoked. Not apologizing for the terrorists, but this "they only hate us for our freedom" nonsense has got to stop. They hate us because we're bastards.

  • @BadLuck765 If you want to be a blame america first person be my guest. the point i was trying to make is that it was nonsensical to compare 9/11 to the bombings of hiroshima and nagasaki.

  • @yousuckjontalbert Well, if you've decided to walk down a dark alley in a big city at night and then you get mugged, the mugger should certainly be arrested, but you shouldn't have done something so stupid.

I'd say that's a pretty reasonable analogue to America and 9/11.

Also, the A-bombs and 9/11 were both acts of war with serious consequences. I'd say they're fairly similar in that.

  • @jacobgr43 America: ends 2 world wars it didn't start, never hears the end of how warlike it is.

  • @TripArmour Yes, let's disregard it's other, more recent actions as a nation...

  • @jacobgr43

If Japan hadn''t BOMBED PEARL HARBOR FIRST and tried to TAKE OVER THE PACIFIC the USA wouldn't have hurt any of them. Hell, the USA probably wouldn't have even fought WW2. 9/11 isn't comparable.

The attacks of 9/11 were UNPROVOKED ATTACKS ON NONMILITARY TARGETS. I don't know where you're from, but imagine if a plane of fundamentalist psychos crashed two jets into the Louvre, or the Opera house in Sydney, or Burj Khalifa in Dubai, or Christ the Redeemer in Brazil.

  • @jacobgr43 Dude, your from the U.K...........wtf supposed ally

  • best movie ever. fuck haters, i loved the ending.

fuck u if u dont like it. k?

  • The best 9/11 movie so far is still Spike's "25th Hour". Yeah, it's not ABOUT the attacks, but it's full of the zeitgeist.

This, on the other hand, is weak shit.

  • they could have enhanced the shock effect by zooming out from the window then taking you to the little girl's classroom and showed the date on the board very fast ... kind of a quicker blend of the 2 scenes in the order i provided.

  • weak movie, ending is surprising but also a weak shock effect

  • I think I'll see this just to see Pattinson die :P

  • This is how every Robert Pattinson movie should end.

  • This movie is just amazing... the only view I've got on 9/11 is the crash and all the chaos and all the death.. this movie really shows the life before 9/11 and it shows the viewer the pain of victims families, and how every single person who died that awful day all had their own stories and how quickly life ended for them.

    Amazing movie.

    Sorry for bad english

  • TAKE THAT TWIST ENDING M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN !

  • I loved the movie. I had not heard anything about this movie before I rented it and I have to say that I NEVER SAW IT COMING!

  • cheap, wannabe emotional ending and what the hell is "september 11, Z00I?

  • Comment removed

  • Why is everyone getting political...Its a film....and its a good, emotional and effective ending. Relating to real life events. Good twist for once......

  • That said I loved the ending of this movie. It was powerful and unexpected.

  • what the fuck is so epic about this? cant usa get over 911, americans are behaving like the big bully in school who for once got a punch back, and ran crying to mom, demanding her to punish the ones you have been tormenting. USA have been bombing, killing and terrorising the rest of the world for decades, so just shut the fuck up!

  • @consumedmind Not everyone in the US condoned the the bombing that 'we've' done in the past.Sorry but I don't believe people should be punished for something they did not personally do.

  • @consumedmind

    /agree

Whilst I feel terrible for the 3000+ civilians that died on 9/11 and DO NOT condone the action of the terrorists in any way. I ALSO don't condone the 100,000+ civilians that have died in Iraq (A country that was not involved with 9/11).

And I wonder how many more civilians will die in further terrorist attacks as revenge for that 100,000?

  • @consumedmind its the WTC......there were more than just Americans in their.

  • very powerful

  • You all feel too much, do you cry when dogs get hurt too. The movie was great and the ending was a perfect way to end a film about tragic things that happen to attractive people. Not only that but the movie happened YEARS after the 9/11 event. I could understand if this movie was made the next year but it had been almost 8 years. You fall in love with these characters then puts them in this dark situation so that people like me who didn't have family that died could have a taste of how it feels.

  • @lRAYVNl You feel too little empathy. I don't wish any members of your family to die in something like this, but if they do... come back in 8 years, watch the tragedy they were a part of turned into an exploitative twist ending for a badly written romantic film, and then tell us how you feel. Because I have yet to meet one 9/11 survivor who has a positive opinion of this film.
