There's a reason why nearly everyone says that this is the best video game adaptation ever made. Because the movie producers were not trying to make anything more than a simple film, they were straight to the point and did not exaggerate on anything. That's why I think this was a fantastic film and that this was a flawless victory.
@9fears26 It was still abrupt, sudden and not at all the way a major villain like Shang Tsung. Seriously, the guy gets thrown under the bus to make stupid villain sue Quan Chi look good and then they randomly have Shao Kahn just kill him. Shang Tsung should've had a far more grand death like this one.
@GCube45 Yeah, I agree, this is the way how Shang Tsung should have died in MK9, in that game, he died like a bitch, seriously, which sounds better; being beaten and fireballed into a pit of spikes and exploding into a vortex of souls after decomposing, or...whatever the hell Kahn did to him in MK9? my money is on the former.
When Tsung raised those souls to fight Liu Kang, wouldn't that count as cheating?

Mortal Kombat's epic music blends in with the epic fighting. Robin Shou was terrific as Liu Kang and Cary Tagawa was awesome as Shag Tsung.
