1. Shark's fin does not have any taste to it. A little fishy yes, but you can eat a raw sardine for that.

2. Have you ever eaten real shark fin? Not the imitations that come with bowls of crab meat. That's probably where your texture comes from.

3. I don't understand. No one rears shark's fin for their well, fins. Sharks have and will always be wild.

Actually, it isn't. The lack of taste argument is one of several reasons Ramsay is against shark fin; other reasons include the issue of ethics. Retrotw's lentil analogy is in response to the your suggestion that Ramsay thinks lack of taste (completely subjective, BTW) ALONE would warrant the banning of a type of food source, therefore the analogy is relevant to the question. Just because you say it's idiotic does not make it so.
