. I have colored my hair at home for years with Clairol or Loreal and am switching to Shades EQ. I have found direction basics from the Redkin I know to mix the color and developer on a one to one but want to add Nexxus Aloxxi Keramix Protein Reconstructor to the color & can't find how much to add? Also on the instructions it says to shampoo after rinsing out the color before conditioning? Does this mean to use shampoo to do this or to add water and lather like the otc kits?

Just go to Sally's and a select a brown that you like. And use 20 or 30 volume depending on the color-- ask the clerk. I know this may not be the answer you wanted to hear but chocolate brown would almost be any shade of brown. There's dark chocolate, medium chocolate brown, light chocolate and etc.

From a Level 6 Dark Blonde to a Level 8 Light Blonde is only 2 levels. You mix 30 volume and you only need 20 you are going to be very warm expecially with Redken !
