There are tons of amazing drummers out there that could match up to him in that respect, but, he went above and beyond. He is special to me because and was an all around musician, from writing lyrics to piano, to guitar and of course drums. @HumpDeBump100 he was a one man orchestra, he could play anything and he wrote alot of avengeds music on the self titled album. not to mention he wrote lyrics too. in an interview shaddows said everyone in the band had a day when they would miss a beat or a lyric but rev never did he memorized everything and played it to a t. he put his life into music and did more in 28 years then most can do in 100.
@dikicud If your into that kind of musicians you should look into Paul McCartney or Eric Clapton or Bowie. I personally get sick of A7X fans who only listen to A7X cuz they think all other music is mediocre. Cuz as far as talent goes there are better bands and anyone who is decent in music knows that.

@HumpDeBump100 In my opinion, the reason The Rev is so well respected is due to the fact that he is one of the most talented musicians that ever lived, whether it was his ability to write amazing songs or the fact that he could play the drums better than anyone I have ever heard, he was and always will be respected for how great of a musician he was. There are tons of amazing drummers out there that could match up to him in that respect, but, he went above and beyond. He is special to me because and was an all around musician, from writing lyrics to piano, to guitar and of course drums. And also because I have watched almost every video clip ever released with him in it, and I always find myself amazed or laughing. A7x foREVer.

@HumpDeBump100 he was a one man orchestra, he could play anything and he wrote alot of avengeds music on the self titled album. not to mention he wrote lyrics too. in an interview shaddows said everyone in the band had a day when they would miss a beat or a lyric but rev never did he memorized everything and played it to a t. he put his life into music and did more in 28 years then most can do in 100.

@HumpDeBump100 the songs he wrote had a different quality to them. They were more alive, had more soul than the others. He genuinely put everything he had into the creation of each song, and it shows.
that along with how he treated people, more than his skill as a drummer, singer or pianist is what earned his respect.
