I never really understood the "talk to your doctor" thing. Are there people who actually suggest what type of medicine a doc should prescribe to them and are there doctors who follow that suggestion?
I can understand people explaining their previous experience with a certain medicine, but suggesting a new medicine they saw from a commercial seems comical.
Olestra, the fake fat, had the best side effect ever: anal leakage. Now if that wasn't a reasonable trade-off for a fat-free bag of potato chips, I don't know what was.
