Now my dog is 6-7months. HE IS HORRIBLE. I need help. He doesn't like (or hasn't been socialized W/dogs) dogs. And is scared of people (mostly men) I really want him to socialize with other dog and humans. I Just want my boy to go to the park! I forgot to mention, We got him from a shelter. Would it be safe to go to the park If he has a muzzle and a harness on (just in case he lashes out) I DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP ON HIM! I mean, when we got him he wasn't scared of me or my family.Help!
These two dogs could just be left alone to introduce themselves! I walk my neighbour's dog who'd been kept behind a gate for the first year of her life. I walk her on the mountain, slowly introducing her to the outside world, allowing her off-leash romping time. However, if she sees another dog half a mile away she goes after them. She's a small terrier and she goes for Alsatians and Dobermans. It scares me to death.
why not try using two dogs that dont know eachother. i know your only showing how its done but it would probably be more helpful if you demonstrated on dogs that dont cooperate so well as these two . you just make it look to easy and its just unrealistic in some cases.
Hi , u have really cute dogs..I've a question tho..I got a golden retriever 8 month old and last night me and my friend tried to introduce our dogs but they got into a fight..his dog is a golden retrieve as well 11 month old , how can i avoid what happened last night ... i need them to play/be friends.
No kidding...if you had a dog aggressive german shepherd you should be taking it to a behaviorist who will train your dog to get along with his own kind....instead of introducing him to a jumpy mastiff. Duh.....This video is to introduce otherwise pretty socialized dogs to another pretty socialized, abet, strange dog....not one who wants to kill another one....
What's up with the chain - and she's tugging on it repeatedly even when it's just her standing there with the dog and no one else is around! Decided quickly this is not a video to recommend to people.
She is tugging on the collar to get her dog's attention....if you noticed he is looking here, there and everywhere...her dog should be standing or sitting by her side looking at her or straight ahead. All the moving around is the dog saying "I want to do what I want to do and I am not paying attention to you" Those are such mild little tugs and the dog is wearing a martingale collar -- its flat on 3/4 of it with the chain at the top to be able to tighten it and get the dogs attention.
I'm not sure she is using a choke collars, looks more like no-slip. She does not utilize positive reinforcement, but to be fair, not all trainers are positive reinforcement trainers.
I would not hire her as a trainer. I agree with the over working of the leash comment and also feel there are better training tips out there. Absolutly no positive reinforcements to teach the dog that they were doing right. That is as important as correcting a dog when they do wrong.

1. stop pulling the leash for no reason.
2. those have no interrest in eachother and have clearly already met.

She won't ever stop pulling the leash! The dog never sat down, never REALLY relaxed around HER, and sat automatically as Mickey sniffed him.

Those dogs were super chill already.
My shepard would have been ready to pull a 187 on Mickey. How the hell do you train that?

you are one stupid bitch

How stupid, the dogs don't even care to meet each other.

VERY misleading video. They clearly know each other well. Try this video with a dog aggressive german shepherd and a jumpy mastiff pup!

And the best way to introduce to dogs is to first tire them out....so big deal!
