on this video the brake isn't release until 6 seconds in...and hits 60 at roughly11 seconds. I would say 5.5-5.9 second 0-60..pretty quick for 237 horespower and well under $30k.

WRX, Mazdaspeed3, Mustang V6, Genesis Coupe 3.8, and more are all faster for less money. All this Ralliart has is a AWD launch, once things are rolling they are NOT fast at all. Check the trap speeds on the stock ones for proof, they trap low.

@sleeksilver I've seen stock Ralliarts whip V6 Mustangs, which by default means they destroy the Genesis 3.8 (since they are slower than the Stang) I believe they are a smidgen faster than the WRX in the 1/4 mile. I know when you hard pipe the intake it beats the WRX. It does lose to the Mazdaspeed but come on... I'm not going to pay 20 large for plastic dash and an obscene looking hatch. I'm not a fanboy either. If anything I'm an STi or M3 fanboy.

he doesnt take off when he builds rpms from 1.5 to 3. he doesnt launch at 1.5 rpm he revs to 2.5 quickly then slowly revs to 3 and thats when he takes off and thats when the 0-60 starts. you can even here the car take off at 3 rpm. why would the car revs slow from 1.5 - 3 and then all of a sudden go from 3-6000 rpm in a flash?

@metalcorejoe Honda claims to have a time of 6.6 seconds. most real life tests show it to be 7 - 7.8 seconds

Mitsu claim a 6.9 seconds, but real world tests show it to be between 4.9 - 6.9 Because of its all wheel drive, its going to be difficult to get it off the line easy

As you can see from the above video, you can see the rev counter spin to about 2-3 thousand rpm before the car sets off. Whether or not the Ralliart has Launch Control, this video can claim a RL test to be 5 seconds.

Jeremy Clarkson demonstrated this with the Audi R8 and a Porche 911. If you have a crappy start, there could be a difference of about 1-3 seconds. Thats pretty big in practice.

@bettermaxim I think you arent reading my post properly. If you get off the line properly in a All wheel car, you will have an excellent start. The only drawback is if you dont do it properly, you mess it up and it will punish you for it.

For example, the Ralliart's max Torque range is somewhere between 3500 and 5500. Thats why you need to have the rev counter at about 3000 RPM to have a great start and send all the torque to the wheels. Too little and the car lurches and doesnt start well.

Well thats the same for any kind of set up whether its front rear or all wheel drive.. the only difference is that AWD is the easiest to launch with. @walle000 $500 on an X wouldnt get you anything. A used Cobb AP maybe and there is no way thats going to get you over a bolted RA. Lots of guys are hitting 320hp and 310tq in their RAs. A few guys are upgrading turbos to FP reds and greens. Anyway, I broke 5s tonight. Hit 0-60 in 4.9 first, then 4.6 in Sport Auto. Not bad for a RA. Lets not forget most X's Baseline dyno at 230-250hp, so I am at 280hp, takes a lot more than 500 bucks on an X to hit 300hp.

My X ran a 13.8@99 before the tune, with the Cobb OTS stage one the car ran a 13.4@104.

Cobb claims a gain of 19% with the stage one flash, and I believe it, it really wakes the car up.

I am running 0-60 consistently at a flat 5sec, and after the new tune I should break into the fours.

my friends impreza burns the clutch under full throttle after he put a bigger turbo on it.

Why? To get the best acceleration, the RPM must be kept at that area which provides the best power/torque. And, the ralliart has very very quickly changing TwinClutch gearbox, so it doesn't matter if it switches a few times more than convertional gearbox, because this way still results into better overall acceleration. Gears would be a little short if it had normal gearbox, but it's completely different case with this kind of very quick gearbox. ;)
