Neither have I, not like that. I used to experience me posting once, then refresh then I don't see my comment so I post again then still no comment so I try again then later I see 3 posts apparently due to a server delay so then I delete the extra comments but this one is a new bug. I only posted once & it duplicated many times without me knowing it until you mentioned it. I have seen many bugs since youtube started, they eventually fix the bugs.
i cant record shit with my new laptop, i bought this laptop a month ago brand new and it dosent record sound, it records mic but not "wat u hear" thats bullshit... then i dug deep n did some research and found out they did it on purpose, its the work of the RIAA so people can stop recording songs off the internet for free using programs like audacity and freecorder... touche bitches but all i gotta do is go to my old 06' compaq pc for that, but they some sneaky bastards arent they? it's bullshit
@GlobalAwareness2525 Thanx bro I got it in order I just did less volume and it worked O_O I got a bit depressed after spending 4 hours watching videos to fix the problems and boy does installing audacity bring along problems XD ur a great person bro liv da good life ^^
Hey, the recording woks, but It records really quietly. I have to turn up the volume on my speakers to hear it. I already set the input volume to max and it still is really quiet.
I'm using version 1.2.6. on Windows XP, so assuming the version you are using looks the same as mine, open Audacity, There is a bar that shows speaker volume and microphone volume. I have both of those turned up to maximum. If you don't see a bar with these features then click on the word "view" in the upper tool bar. I have never messed with these, never had to so I'm not sure which one to select. Write down prior settings before making changes in case you need to go back
Audacity is really cool. When I watch a Netflix movie I might like the music at the end so I record it. When I get a collection I could do some cool stuff with that. I record what I want from youtube. forget about Napster this is the shit for sure. So far it seems nothing has been done to block this technological software. Let me know if you still have problems, maybe I can help, if not maybe someone else here can help.
The windows 7 version of Audacity won't let you record the sound coming from your PC, only your mic. They did this because people were recording music from iTunes n shit. There's ways around it but they are kinda difficult.
If you are playing music on your computer at the exact same time you are recording with Audacity & you get nothing then settings somewhere are not correct. The computer sound settings I provide in the video are for Windows Vista Home Premium. Other versions of windows could be drastically different in setting the control features. I don't know how to get around in other versions. The information presented in this vid was from online searches "How to record Audacity in Windows Vista"
I shared this video because when I downloaded Audacity it did not work. It took me hours of online research to pin point the problem which were sound settings that I never knew existed on my computer. All of Audacity's preset settings worked perfect for me so I had no need to change a thing. Please share if you had complications, that's what this spot is all about. This vid is just about getting Audacity to function, please expand beyond that if you like.
It might, I never tried that but I would imagine that if the sound quality is poor coming out of your computer then it will record it just as poorly as it was produced from your speaker. Try it and let me know what you discover.
@GlobalAwareness2525 Well It won't be poor sound quality because my onboard is HD 7.1 digital going through an HDMI cable to a 700 watt reciever (HTPC). I'm playin around with some CGI software, but I am not starting any long project right now because sound is the 2nd most important thing to me in computer animation, and microphone recordings won't cut it. Plus I actually CAN'T have a soundcard right now anyway because my huge video card on a MicroATX MoBo blocks all pci slots.
I thought you meant through the PC speaker like in the old computers. Yes, Audacity will record whatever comes through your speakers. It might not be in HD but it doesn't lose any quality through my system. I use an amplifier & 2 large 1980s Pioneer cabinet speakers which contain a total of 4 speakers. None of these accessorys have anything to do with Audacity's ability to record but it all sounds the same as the original when I crank up the music with no loss in quality.
@GlobalAwareness2525 Thanks, man. I watched the vid (obviously) and saw where you set Realtek to do it, but is there a setting in audacity that you have to turn on or is it automatic?
I want to record my haunted house.

Actually, your laptop is not fitted with a sound card like those on Desktop Computers. This is why you have no stereo mixing device.

That's excellent, glad your sailing along smoothly now.
This is a good point for others for you to share problems you had.
Too high a volume just creates a hissing sound. I never would have thought of that.
