  • Nice version!

Amusing that they left the guitar mistake at 1:35 on the record, those were other times! :-)

  • @cherstyler you forgot Spiral Starecase's 1968 version...and don't forget Amy Winehouse's (RIP) one dropping this December 2011!!!

  • my favorite version!

  • I too was introduced to the two superpak albums in '72 and from there I found several Sonny and Cher albums from the early years. My favorite is the double album "The Two Of Us" featuring the duo in matching rhinestone jackets on the cover and containing a host of FABULOUS songs too numerous to mention here. I was just a kid then, and I memorized each and every word as I did with Cher's two superpacks . . . KARAOKE ANYONE?

  • I love most of the versions of this song. Have you heard Amy´s?? Just amazing!!!

  • I love this version VERY much, but how could anybody forget Frankie Valli's wonderful version in 1975, which is not listed above?

  • I LOVE YOU BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This fine Cher arrangement of "Our Day Will Come" has a rhythm similar to Bob Lind's 1966 "Elusive Butterfly" ... *love* this Cher version of ODWC...

  • Very enjoyable, Cher's vocal delivery is good!

  • cher always was and still is beautiful but i just love the old pictures of her with her face round and so innocent she looks so sweet!

  • great version!!

  • Gus's wedding Durban approx 1962....what a night!!!

  • Aside from the original "Our Day Will Come" by Akron, Ohio's, Ruby & the Romantics, this is the best version I've ever heard...and I've loved the song since 1963....

  • in addition to the list of cover versions: in 1996 the slackers recorded a reggae version with doreen schaeffer from the skatalites on vocals.

  • Mandolin-style picking on guitar at end: Tommy Tedesco??any info??

  • I remember the Ruby and the Romantics version from '63( I was 11yrs old). Never new Cher covered it. Thanks from this old man for posting it!

  • I was 13 when Ruby and the Romantics (from Akron, Ohio) released their 1963version. Kapp Records had planned to hand it to vocalist, Jack Jones, as a ballad, but Ruby et al scored with a great bossa nova beat...

  • Credit to Cher...nice interpretation of a classic!!

  • this song is awwesome!!!!!!

  • CHERSTYLER...How about a video of Cher's rendition of "The Impossible Dream"?! She gives it her all, as I know your video would too! Thanks

  • This is great. A great song number 1, and the pic is neat. I like your information and list of all the artists who have done this. Very cool indeed, thanks.

  • Your background info is such a treat...from one who relishes musical history in addition to the songs themselves. Cher's vocals on these early songs, with distinctive Spector inspired arrangements by Sono, are timeless. My fave is "Alfie", but this one also sure ranks high! Thank you for adding the little things, which mean a lot (Wink Smile)

  • I think Cher's version of Alfie is the best there is. Her 1960s vocals are spectacular.

  • only one pic of Cher????? CHER MOST GRAT SINGER IN THE WORLD I LOVE HER

  • CHERs VOICE is ALWAYS GORGEOUS!

  • I LOVE this picture and I LOVE your descriptions! That stuff about Ruby & the Romantics was INCREDIBLE!!! *FLOORED*
