I too was introduced to the two superpak albums in '72 and from there I found several Sonny and Cher albums from the early years. My favorite is the double album "The Two Of Us" featuring the duo in matching rhinestone jackets on the cover and containing a host of FABULOUS songs too numerous to mention here. I was just a kid then, and I memorized each and every word as I did with Cher's two superpacks . . . KARAOKE ANYONE?

I was 13 when Ruby and the Romantics (from Akron, Ohio) released their 1963version. Kapp Records had planned to hand it to vocalist, Jack Jones, as a ballad, but Ruby et al scored with a great bossa nova beat...

Your background info is such a treat...from one who relishes musical history in addition to the songs themselves. Cher's vocals on these early songs, with distinctive Spector inspired arrangements by Sono, are timeless. My fave is "Alfie", but this one also sure ranks high!
