Fucking hell, im only 19 so my story isnt as intertwined into the roots of hip hop but i got into hip hop the same way every white kid did at that time - Eminem. I dont listen to him anymore but I still have his Infinite album on my itunes but the rest is underground hip hop and rock i used to listen to.
well im white im only 23 and i got into hip hop with 3 feed high and rising i still have the cassette tape somewere it came out in 89 so i was 5 lol stole it from the local hmv cause i like the colours on the from lol and loved it my mum was like were did u get this from i never saw it again for years after lol true story
OMG i remember this tune! I loved it back in the day and it's still cool now. His flow is tight and the lyrics have substance. They should re-release this song, or update it into a 2007 remix to educate a younger generation. I'm 32 and from Australia and i remember this song coming out early to mid 80's. How about the braids? I think they are back in fashion lol!
ummm i thought jazzy j or somthing -- solo - when he was hangin with rick rubin and them... !! maybe he produced it but his name was on tha cover a tha 12" just his --- didnt say nutn bout funky 4...my uncle has the 12"record --
the classic song "king heroin" came out in 83', but this video is from later, and the music on the video is so weak compared to the original vinyl, the video sounds like an 85' remake.
nah it was about 86.its just the track didnt sound contempory at the time as he is original old school.the cut rocks though, and his flow and voice is dope..his voice and style remind me a bit of truemathematics, down with the bombsquad.
Anyone know where to download this?

Classic rap. Great message.

funkyfreshzorro 4 years ago
no. the Herculoids were the first and the first emcee ever was Coke La Rock. Bronx is the birthplace of hip hop (1973).
