  • Place the turkey in the empty frier pot. Fill it with water to just over the top of the turkey. Remove the turkey and empty any water in it back into the pot. Note the water level or mark the water level with a marker. You now know exactly how much oil to use. You should also make sure your bird is completely defrosted as a frozen bird will cause the oil to boil over excessively.

  • Burn Babay,Burn!!

  • @whitelion44 ..it's a disco inferno!

  • wow, talk about railroading a subject. I guess they figure its just safer to make people think that there is no way to fry a turkey without it resulting in a fireball. Anyone who takes the time to find out how to fry anything, even when frying chicken cuts in a pan, YOU NEVER EVER EVER LET WATER OR ICE TOUCH HOT OIL IF YOU VALUE YOUR HOUSE AND HEALTH!!! Seriously, this is simple as long as you find out the proper way to fry things before you make any attempt.

  • why not just cook it in the oven like we do only in the usa tut tut

  • OH YA! Fire 20 feet high! That would be a great story for the kids to hear later on. Hey, remember when uncle Joe caught the turkey on fire? OH Man.. those were the days!

Looks line fun to me! :)

  • Well the fire department just left Our dining room will never be the same . I never seen grandma's eyes pop out like that before WOW hehehehehe Cant wait til Black friday and Hexmas hehehehehehehehehehehe Shopping starts at 3am Going to need a new dining room set :-)

  • Wow...they did the three things you're NOT supposed to do when deep frying a turkey. They didn't thaw it out all the way, they let the oil get to 350 degrees, and they overfilled the pot...of course its going to catch on fire you idiots its like the perfect storm of grease fires!

  • Why would ANYONE want to deep fry a turkey? Oven roasted has always been, IS and always will be better BETTER tasting and better for you. I guess if your not getting your daily allowance of grease and you like to pay more for the oil than the turkey, be my guest. I just love mindless fads, don't you?

  • Hope that "fireman" is using a high-temp rated respirator. Way to take proper precautions there buddy. Like I'm going to take advice from someone who can't even use common sense in their "how to" video. Um- also, what idiot puts a PARTIALLY FROZEN turkey into a vat of frying oil????? Thumbs down.

  • lmao, use common sense people...

  • turkey anyone

  • @AurielleL21 It's well-done :)

  • Caution must have common sense to fry a bird.

  • The first thing to do is fill it with water to determine the oil level. Duh.

  • I've been frying turkey's for about ten years w/o an incident....it's all about COMMON SENSE!! And a respect for the dangers.

  • You don't deep fry a turkey like that. Idiots Everything taken out of context. Give me a break.

  • eh no turkey today

  • my dad and i fry several turkeys ever year around this time and have never had a problem

take a few simple safety steps and youre gold

  • @kind2311 common sence goes a long way

  • DUH! this is what not to do! If you do it correctly it will be fine. Always double check everything and have an extinguisher ready. This is my 5th time doing it and everything went well. Its like driving a car just because you drive safely doesnt mean someone else wont. Be Careful and use precaution. Happy Thanksgiving.

  • exactly

  • What bitches

  • so don't put in a frozen or wet turkey, and pay good attention to the temp at all times adjusting as necessary. if not for the safety, for the turkey.

  • to hell with everything else, you dont wanna burn that bird!

    LOL
