with that type of plane you are landing almost blind you cant se over the nose you cant see whats in front of you. you land by seeing from side to side. he is lucky that he was still high enough to clear most of the wing. he also very lucky that he did not hit that poll check the vidio

Every pilot is permitted to have an inspection on their aircraft before taking off, I guess they were just practising low level acrobatics, after all, the plane was designed for stunts and flips and all that stuff.

neat vid... and definitely an engine failure considering they'd just overflown a runway (or taken off from same). Being in a taildragger and both looking to the right at the time of impact, they likely didn't see the cow. Aside from the moo-cow, there was also a close call with a much more solid pole just afterward.
