I think Brian's definition of "rock music" is quite interesting compared to Freddie's frank attitude toward the genre. I guess Bri is trying to tell that rock music is a musical genre where musicians can try something new according to their own feelings and ideas --which is basically hard to do when you're taking a classical music lesson. And Freddie completes his explanation by adding that his purpose of playing music is "having fun." When they come together, they become coherent and strong!
