@DrewM01 I knew a comment like that was natural and inevitable... but really? Hanson? As much as I love it, I never thought I'd see anyone call 'mmbop' a classic haha!
Looking back at Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Britney, and all the Artist that were making music at that time were not Bad at all They actually sound pretty good even better, Compare to Todays Fake Artist.
@Shomeintheknee Any one who was born in the 90's can't say they remember the 90's. Because even if you were born in 1990, you were only 10 years old when it ended.
@DrMeh3 Born in '93. still remember barney, power rangers, TMNT, 90% of these songs, every line of all of the Land Before Time movies, Toy Story, Lion King, and every other Disney movie, and most of the other thing from the 90's. If you were old enough to remember 9/11, you probably can remember the 90's. The whole point of being a 90's KID is being a KID in the 90's. Not a teenager, not a young adult, a kid.
top comments: you liked the backstreet boys, nsync, and britany spears? shit!!!! music didnt die its harder to look for. i love the music i listen to and its because they dont sell out to mainstream media so you dont know about it. explore the underground
I hope im not considered old, but my bff said to me the other day when i heard lame shit like lmfao sexy and I know it on the radio and i said THIS SUCKS. says we must be old if this new crap like that and nicki minaj is considered SHITTY to us
It's sad to know how big of a downhill turn music has taken since the 90s. Gone are the days of the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears and Hanson; they're replaced with the likes of Justin Bieber, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and all of that rap crap.
@DrewM01 how is their any difference between backstreet boys, n sync, hansen, brittney spears and bieber, jonas brothers, miley cyrus???? lmao they are the same shit. if their was a difference between the 90s and now it wouldnt be those artists your contrasting....
I like how you take the best songs ( Actually, only backstreet boys and NSync are nice) and compare them to our shittiest. Justin beiber doesn't represent our music you fucking retard, and rap music hasn't really been hitting hard on the charts.
Go blow yourself asshole, I miss bands like NSYNC but todays music is still pretty good like black keys or draughty, and even the ones targeted at teenagers like bruno mars and maroon 5.
I was born in 1995 and I can remember all of these songs very well. It brings back a lot of memories listening to them again. Instantly hearing them makes me feel what it was like back then. Those were the days :)
@jleer1 I think thats one of the most truest statements on youtube, bringing back the memories of when you were little makes you want to be a kid again, while others want to grow older so they can get there license, or drink of legal age or anything like that, i say fuck that, i just want to go back to then because thats when the best times of anyones lifes were, when they were kids...
@42Kimpel I completely agree. I know there are things that you can only do when you're older, but back then, we didn't care about that. We enjoyed messing about, playing games, doing silly things, and stuff like that. If I could be any age, I'd rather be younger, rather than older. I miss the days when everything seemed magical, and wonderful. Now we've grown up, there's stress, hard work, and generally, life is not as fun.
Early-mid00's music ROCKED. the late 00's was the beginning of the end for music. now in the early 2010's music is probably at it's worst. 2012 better have SOME great music. It's just so damn sad how it's declined over the years and were still in the decline.
Music really changed after 2000 besides Eminem and a couple of other artist's that was different, it really went down hill. Nowdays its all about making that catchy beat and course line thats it. No one is singing from their soul anymore. Thats why people miss 20th century music, Everything has changed...
@boskey10 music wasnt that different in 1999 vs 2000. I didnt notice a big change from 1999 to 2000, seemed kind of the same. Plus 1999-2001 were pretty much the worst years for music ever. music now is much better than 10 years ago
Was about 5+ when these were out. My sister watched MTV a lot, and these awesome songs were on. I remember Sum 41, Green Day, Eminem and Slipknot to name a few.
everything was more creative back then. what people wore, what people did ,made music vids etc. , the older we get, life gets shittier, feel like a fucking robot
i was 11 when these songs came out :) i remember everyone of them and i still love them til this day :D i was talkin to a younger girl and she was like whos N-Sync and me and my friends were like WHAT? u must not know wat music it if you dont know the ppl from these years :O
I remember riding the school bus back home around the 5th grade and listening to these songs while talking to my friends about pokemon and digimon. Those were fun times.
nostalgia! look how genuine all of this music was. even the pop was extremely varied and good. now music is super manufactured. fuck! i want every one of you people to grab an instrument and make some more fucking music like this! smd if you don't, we need music like this. we have a responsibility to give people real music and good role modles again like the people up here. music artists are the #1 role modles in the world, come the fuck on people, get your shit together!
funny how songs like these seem to be trapped in a certain lapse of time and when you hear them for a moment you kinda actually go back to that point in time

my favorite music period is from 1983 to 2002. everything after 2002 sux, especially the music we listen to today. I can assume that the music in the future will be even worse.
@StarrEyes86 So i guess the Vietnam war in the 60's and 70's didn't count? plus they had disco to deal with which was much worse. i doubt many teens have to worry about their jobs being shipped overseas either. I'm a 00's teen as well and i can genuinly say we had it easy. unless you're a bitch who actually gives a shit about political correctness.
I was in my early 20s in the later part of the decade. Jobs being shipped overseas was and still is a big concern of mine as the economy continues to sink. I give a shit about political correctness because I don't think people should restrict free speech. I was politically aware the entire decade, being in high school when 9/11 occurred. I had rap overload to deal with in summer 03 and beyond. I essentially created my own teenhood because of this.
The draft for the Vietnam war was extremely unjust, especially since there was no intention of winning the war. However, not all teens of the 70s had to go through that. My father was a 70s teen and turned 13 the year the war ended in 1975.
Mainstream 2000s music sucked. I never felt that I missed out on music however. I'm glad I was born when I was because I was old enough to search for what I wanted. I got a lot of my music from listening closely to the lyrics of songs I heard in movies TV and commercials, listening closely to music playing in the stores, MySpace, Rhapsody, foreign music channels, internet radio stations, and lesser known local radio stations by moving the dial around 0.2 at a time.
Damn,, I had forgotten about Outkast,, Miss the good ol' songs
