When his contract was up for renewal recently, they apparently wanted to resign him only if he'd agree to do a series of cover albums like those Stewart & Manilow oldies, & he said NO! Thank God. Last October, there was a fundraising Gala for the Bubel/Aiken Foundation. One of the items that was auctioned off was a box at the Celine Dion concert in Clay's hometown. The winner and nine friends get to attend the concert with Clay, and afterward, they get to meet Celine. I believe the concert is that night.
The Foundation and the fans are VERY important to Clay. Someone paid a LOT of money for this.

Made me cry. Although I wish the tabloids would have a little more respect for the office, I smile whenever I see Barack and Michelle together. Seeing the love is this family is such a blessing.

To the poster below who said Clay should fire his label for not promoting his music, he DID! When his contract was up for renewal recently, they apparently wanted to resign him only if he'd agree to do a series of cover albums like those Stewart & Manilow oldies, & he said NO! Thank God. Because RCA pretty much put the breaks on his sales when they made him record that other CD of love song covers a couple of years ago. Who knows what they were thinking, but his newest album is great!

"Something About Us" by Clay Aiken from his newest cd ON MY WAY HERE.... an album full of great songs in the pop, R&B, country, jazz, etc. genres that is not being heard on the radio anywhere, which is criminal. Clay should fire his label as soon as his current contract is up because they have done shit to promote his music, & this cd is full of terrific music. Glad to see Obama fans at least get to hear this tune. Why not buy the whole album & see what you're missing?

I just heard that the maker of this montage has been asked for permission to play it at one of the Inaugural Balls! How exciting!! I hope it's shown on TV not just because it's beautiful & symbolic of the hopefulness & good-will felt all over the nation this week, but also because... well, heck, the writer of this song & the singer, Clay Aiken, deserve to have their gorgeous work heard by millions!!! Why isn't Clay ever on my radio? The album this song came from is fantastic with many hits!

This CD (On My Way Here) is full of wonderful songs, from slow like this song to rocking Clay like Ashes, Falling, and blues/rock song like Every thing I don't need.

Well, this one is a big obligation.
Last October, there was a fundraising Gala for the Bubel/Aiken Foundation. One of the items that was auctioned off was a box at the Celine Dion concert in Clay's hometown. The winner and nine friends get to attend the concert with Clay, and afterward, they get to meet Celine. I believe the concert is that night.
The Foundation and the fans are VERY important to Clay. Someone paid a LOT of money for this.
If it were me, I wouldn't cancel, either.
