Nice plying man !.I practice also in a Meinl udu drum,but,is made from wood and the sound is more deep.I place a good condenser mike on overhead and i hear it from the mixer to my headphones.This is the way i recorded.Also you have the possibility,to give some re-verb effect,to the sound,via effect send,in the mixer.

I just now figured out that headphones work really well. You can hear all the cool "udu-y" things that you do. I'm a little slow sometimes. Haha. But I have to say that was most excellent.

This one is made of fiberglass. Others are made of clay. I just bought one about a week ago. I'm love it so far, but I have a ways to go before I play like this guy, lol

I put my first & only video up on youtube playing a simple groove with it. I'm enjoying it.

i just bought an udu, and i´ve searched a bit around youtube for clips. Most of them sucked ass!!! Finally a good one, sounds great and you´re an amazing player.

Awesome. Best demo of Udu I've heard and seen so far! Many do not capture enough of the base, earth/water tone. You demo much more range than most. You make the drum sing and talk and evoke exotic places--you take us to Africa, Morocco, India--you coax the genie out of the bottle to take us on a magic carpet ride. Thank you!

i'm a teacher!!tablas and udu if you have time and money i can learn to you the best way to be a good player...if you understand your percution and if you know how speak with her you have 70%100 completed...the last 30% it's just a long loooooooooonnnnnnng time to play on udu whit your fingers and in your car,the métro,at work,...every where every time good bye sorry for my english cause i'm french...french peapole arre verry bhad in inglsh
