  • then u've got no fear anymore, you r completly free... still give me goosepumps

  • I cry multiple times every time I see this film. It's beautiful. Hugo Weaving is utterly amazing. I could watch him in any role - I adore him. <3

  • Seriously? Someone disliked this? WHO DISLIKES THIS!?

  • @caucasianasian07 a socialist

  • I love this movie Since a Saw for the firt time.

I already saw 8 times... and don1t get tired *-*

  • its only after we surpass our fear for death that we actually start to appreciate life.

  • V is really valerie behind that mask

  • the one single solitary thumb down came from Creedy himself

  • "You cut my hair !" - the first thing she thinks about after her life changing ordeal . so vain

  • @citisolo1 it's like every girl's nightmare

  • @citisolo1 I understand because she thought that she was in trouble with the authorities and would die there. However, when she found out that her friend did that to her all along I think it shocked the day lights out of her along with feeling betrayed.

  • AHH ITS AGENT SMITH. RUN. YOU CAN'T KILL AN AGENT!

  • amazing acting, both by hugo and natalie

  • brilliant acting!!!

  • hugo weaving <3

  • alan moore is amazing. I know he hates this, as he hates the other interpretations of his work. However, I'm glad they made this. (1) because I actually love the movie - it works even though Alan Moore disagrees; and (2) because it introduced me to Alan Moore's work - which is fantastic.

If you like / love this movie or even if it just interests you then read Alan Moore's graphic novel and let your world change!!! AWESOME!!!!!

  • FUN FACT : Did you know the shadow of the interagators are actually that of the man who plays Creedy and the others being Hugo Weaving

(it's easy to guess which is which)

  • sneaky clever bastard, love this guy

  • Wow. I don't blame Natalie Portman's character for being angry. If I had regarded someone as a friend and trusted them the way she did V and they tortured me, I would be insanely angry. Even if it was for a supposedly "good" purpose. I don't think I could ever bring myself to forgive them, much less be so careless and sinister like V, and torture a friend in order to "help them" as he so explains.

Anyway, aside from that, this is a great movie. I will have to buy it someday.

  • Is he talking about falling in love with her? And vis-versa? Or is he talking about having a life? I can never tell.

  • "Leave me alone, I hate you¡"

the expression on her face said everything.

  • In Jungian terms this is where the completion of the 'individuation process' has taken place. Evey has become 'whole'! After experiencing darkness she comes into the light. The union of opposites, the 'anima' and the 'animus' (the male and female) have joined together. Note: V emerges from the flame, Evey the water (rain)The union of opposite is complete. The fear has been vanquished and love has become the victor.

  • Agent Smith in V for vendetta ^^

  • I was actually lucky enough to speak to the great man Alan Moore once. He said that one of main points in the story was the perception of V, that he wanted create ambiguity within the reader, that he wanted V to be loathed and loved in equal measures. The film for me never tried to achieve this and i feel in this respect it is lacking.

  • @uptherevolution

I would love to meet Alan Moore , I have seen an interview with him and also read one (although it was about watchmen)

and i have also read the comic and agree with you , in many respects the film was lacking the original consept of v and how i was to be taken in the mind of the viewer but i am glad thaey made the film because that was the reason i bought the comic and trully began to apriciate the story and it's deeper meaning.

  • every was reborn in water, V was reborn in fire

  • one of the most powerful combinations great acting with great music makes this a unforgetable scene=)...

  • Does anyone else find it funny how she says "you cut my hair?!" as her first complaint AND THEN "you tortured me?!"? I just kind of find that funny...

  • @truth489 you're clearly not a woman, neither am i, hehe, but you dont have to be a genius...

  • @securuslol haha actually I am a woman and I do understand that getting hair cut would be drastic, but I think my order would go 1) torture, 2) hair cut, and 3) being starved....but it always makes me chuckle a bit that scene

  • @truth489 Well, actually I think it may have to do with chronological order. As in, first, you cut my hair, then you tortured me. And then she says tortured twice to emphasize : )

  • @truth489 just another little thing added in by the directors to show how screwed up the society is at the moment. looks are more important than the true issues now a days.

  • @truth489 I think she just meant the order in which they were done :D

  • I love this part...

  • Favorite scene of the entire movie!

  • LOVED THIS SCENE!!

  • the graphic novel is most certainly not better! the art style totally doesn't work and he blows up half of London.

  • @PureRockenEuzo Yes, V is much more sinister in the graphic novel as he is an anarchist instead of a freedom fighter. It's up to the reader to decide if he is the hero or the villain.

  • @frkonalsh2009

its more realistic when he only blows up two buildings. and theatrics and music are used to make scenes and points more effective. the novel was way to complex to be fully enjoyed.

  • I have a better explanation God is God

  • This is real strong, the script as much as the filmatics as much as the score as much as the amazing acting by Natalie Portman. Somehow it makes me feel uneasy to see how my emotions are triggered by the combined efforts of all these people who are so good at what they do.

  • Never get emotional during films but...wow.

  • I cry like a baby each time i see this scene. So powerful. Masterpiece! Bravo! Excelente!

  • Wonderful. I own the dvd and blue ray and I'm glad to have read some wonderful comments here. Makes me almost cry each time I see this - such a powerful scene!

  • this country needs V. We need somebody whos not afraid to break the rules, somebody who will take over the system and show us that we are truely free.We don't need Goverments or rules and bars and walls!

  • in order to break the system and attempt to take over(challenge) the system, you have to be so deep in the system that you live and breath the way they do, not just watching clips but actually doing what they want to the point where you know what they are going to do next

  • @bird4200 Government taxes buy us civilization

  • Beautiful. Nuff said.

  • "whhyyy????"

  • what a beautiful anger....a controlled anger....the kind of anger that I enjoy.

  • "god is in the rain"

  • Yep...this made me cry.

  • wow, this video is awesome

    thanks for this!

  • Hugo Weaving's voice and acting almost make me feel that mask is alive. Love his voice as Elrond too.

    ♥♥♥

    ^o^

  • i love this scene for many reasons. he uses a aggressive flooding technique psychologically overwhelming her fear and destroying it, fucking brilliant.

  • Best Graphic Novel Movie? I think so

Its a shame though that Alan Moore doesn't like his work being turned into movies

  • What a score! well done Dario Marianelle

  • Amazing soundtrack, script, acting, everything about this scene is just breathtaking

  • I could listen to Hugo Weaving speak with an English accent all day...

    it gives me chills.

The scene isn't too bad either! ;-)

  • The most poignant, moving, intense scene in this and any other film, incredible acting from both of them, absolutely flawless

  • "Thank you, but I'd rather die behind the chemical sheds."

    MASTERPIECE of a movie! :)

    One of my favorites.

  • Amen to that :)

  • one of the best movies of all times. i cry

  • Get into me this scene!

  • probably one of the greatest scenes ever in any movies!

  • This is without question, the most moving scene of any movie I have ever seen. I cry every time I watch this.

  • Anger is a gift

  • I don't think anger and fear can ever really go away, but can only be tamed

  • fire breathing with rage amid rubble, dominoes pushed into red tidal waves, Evey remembers G@d in fresh rain n' air roses

    this is a documentary---

  • God is Everywhere!

  • Very powerful scene. One of the best motion pictures of the decade IMO.

  • @Serpent257

    he plays the Devil

  • Ophis, the wise serpent, teaches Eve(y) a lesson. She owns herself. We control our would-be captor and executioner. "He" only has power over us only if we first grant that power. Hence the terrorism. Hence the cajoling. Being threatened with death in the garden of Eden no longer frightens Eve(y). She walk out the lair and into the rain and thus is born again!

    Serpent

  • @Serpent257 nice

  • I wish I was like Evey and can't feel anything

  • This has to be one of the most powerful scenes in cinematic history. The emotion it evokes is moving. Dario Marianelli's "Every Reborn" is a masterpiece - my heart soars & my throat catches when I watch this scene with Evey standing out in the rain, arms outstretched in release and exultation.

  • Catharsis. Beautiful.

  • I was bored with this movie untill this moment, it awaken something inside me. I know it sounds like a joke but it started a change in my life.

  • like ?

  • We fear about so many unnecessary things, when we let go, we discover something deep inside us which is stronger then ourselves.

  • Allah

Allah is in the Rain :)

  • no offense mate...."god' is in the air...not allah, not jesus, not vishnu, no religion....just god...

  • THat doesn't make any sence

    God is Allah

  • okay..by that principle i can also say jesus is in the rain, and shiva is in the rain... what the movie is trying to say perhaps is that its not religion specific....its just god.

  • @whitemanstand72 God is Zeus.

  • I remember the first time I saw this scene and I thought she was really captured by "the man" When he asked her "are you ready to cooperate?" I said aloud with her, tears in my eyes "No."

  • this music is so beautiful ! i can't find words to describe my feelings when i see this movie, i'm totaly dazzled by V, and natalie is just wonderful

  • The most powerful scene i've seen. Moved me to tears. Somehow in real life, there comes a time when everyone and each of us must confront our inner fears and personal demons, and vanquish them!, specially if we had strong traumatic experiencies, the tragic loss of loved ones, the violence around us, lack of faith in ourselves, in life or a Superior Power. GOD IS IN THE RAIN. Whoa! Powerful Truth! We had to be aware to catch the opportunity when it comes to us.

  • The most beautiful comment I have ever read on this site.

  • Thank you! I'm glad. Thank you a lot!

  • well done Hugo and Natalie! well done indeed!

  • excellent music,excellent scene,excellent movie!!very very powerful!!

  • this scene it's a most importants & greats of the movie, and the song guide the action very good, V For Vendetta, my favorite film

  • Fucking brilliant.

  • Dario Marionelli is a genius- the score fits absolutely perfect with this scene; it's visceral, beautiful and completely stirring.

  • Great music, amazing scene, high level acting by Miss Portman

  • Where's the rest of the part? Damn, chilling music, but most impressive nevertheless. I understand the transformation. From a past life to a future life. AND...its Natale Portman!!!!!!!!! *Drools* ^_^

  • one of the most powerful Scenes I've ever seen.

    Brilliant movie.

  • I understand that she's angry with V for doing all that to her, but couldn't she just be happy that it was him torturing her and not the others?

He was only trying to torture her so that she would learn to be find her courage and use it. I would be grateful for that.

  • .... you would be grateful... if someone tortured and lied to you. Honestly, you may be saying ud be grateful now, but if it really happened to you, would you really be THAT grateful?

  • No, but I'm saying if it were the bad guys, the Police that captured her, the torture would've been much worse. V actually saved her life. I would appreciate that. She really is only angry for five minutes.

  • it doesnt matter. torture is torture. doenst mztter whose doing it or why they are. u are gonna b mad either way

  • My God, you can just see the shell of her old life flaking away as she makes here inner strength a part of who she is.

  • this is one of my favorite scens. Kudos!

  • thanks for posting this scene, I couldn't find it anywhere since the last one got deleted
