  • who else heard "Get'r done" , was larry the cable guy there too?

  • goood

  • Beer+Cannon=FUN!

  • did you make that yourself or did you buy it from a kit or something, I plan on making something similar at on the lathe and just need some good info on building one,

  • When Johnny comes marching home again Hurrah Hurrah!

  • they build theese so the south can rise again

  • skip to 3:22 to actually see the title of the video

  • i think your barrel is a little small for the frame

  • very fun!!!

  • man thats a smart cannon

  • superbe j en fabrique 2 en ce moment reste plus que la menuiserie a faire les 2 canons sont deja construit plus que le trous pour la meche a faire

  • Really cool it destroyed the bucket!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice gun. I found a small no. 1 field carriage at a flea market a few years back. The wheels were a foot tall. That would make it about 1/5 scale. I made diagram of my full size 12 pdr. howitzer tube and divided all the measurements by 5, gave it to a machinist friend of mine, and he turned it for me. It fit the carriage perfectly and I've been shooting it for a few years. As a matter of fact its New Years Eve and I'm going to roll it out in about 3 hours!

  • i sure could of used those buckets... but still a thumbs up!!

  • ill buy it

  • im building a smaller cannon, but i dont know what to use to clamp the barrel down to the frame... any suggestions?

  • @okrebel93 you should try clamps.

  • Nice cannon!

  • I thought it was cute until I heard it fire.

  • thanks, now one of my goals in life is to kill a deer with a cannon , haha

  • thank jesus for rednecks!!!

  • blow up more things

  • how long is the canon and high

  • @rammsteinfreak1996

The over all length with carriage is 48 inches and it stands about 27 inches tall.

  • @tkthorn thanks

  • @tkthorn how long's the barrel and what was the weight of the lead ball and powder charge. I'm building a 1-bore rifle and would like to know approximately how much damage it would do with it's one pound lead slug fired out at 1500fps with a 1400gr charge of blackpowder.

  • @drewnickel

The Barrel is 24" long, 3 1/4" dia. at the Breech. The bore is 1.530" and fires a 1.500" dia. lead ball that is just under 1lb. @ 15oz. NO more than 400 gr. of FF black powder behind a ball. That load blew through a washing machine and kicked up dust 200 to 300 yards out in the field, still moving that fast after going through 8 layers of steel and turning the washers agitator into about 15 pieces! 1000 gr. damaged my carriage, never again! 800 gr. behind paper towels is very loud!!

  • @tkthorn thanks, also, if I use a 1400gr load of powder and a 16oz slug, what weight should my gun probably be, I can handle around 60+lbs as long as it's under 80 or 90. I'm working on building a shoulder fired version of this. right now the only things I'm stuck on are recoil reduction. and making a strong enough stock to handle it.

  • @drewnickel

Scares Me !!! My Cannon complete Barrel and Carriage weighs around 85 lbs. the Barrel alone was around 40lbs. Unless you find some way to drastically reduce the recoil YOU WILL BREAK YOUR SHOULDER if not more! 1000 gr. behind my 15oz. ball lifted my 85 pound Cannon a foot off the ground and when it came down my axle was broke! That much powder pushing that heavy a slug creates tremendous recoil !!! Please be careful !

  • @tkthorn I know ways to lower recoil drastically, but its gonna be a challenge when I put a 1 pound ball through it at 1500fps. I can design my stock with a curve so that it rubs against my shoulder as it jumps up, and uses the friction to lower the recoil. along with a muzzlebreak. it'll probably still make a 10ft wall of smoke when it shoots though

  • @drewnickel that carge is pretty big.... dont you think?

  • @crazymansaxon not really, the 1,000lbs of recoil is only 2x that of a two bore, but since the gun weighs twice as much as a two bore it's recoil will be the same speed as a 2-bore's recoil, meaning it'll feel the same. only problem is having the strength to shoulder a 60lb behemoth of a rifle. it's not the force of the recoil that matters, it's the speed it kicks at, and at 25fps that recoil would hurt, but it'd be manageable.

  • shoot buckshot,it´s funnier

  • wow thats alot of fire from a small cannon pretty cool

  • aw, cute little cannon =P

  • sweet

  • america is the coolest gunland

  • Gotta love the rednecks in the background..."Get er done...."

  • thats a Replica?

  • Kudo's to the builder. Very impressive for a home made job! You should start selling them.

  • Maybe pray for the 'lord' to not let us have the capacity to fight in the first place. And if the gunner has not sinned then he does not deserve hell. Firing a gun for fun does not constitute a sin, as far as ive read in the bible.

  • @CainG88 blame it on eve, she took a bite of the forbidden fruit and got the knowledge of good and evil, and no firing a gun is not a sin since david killed goliath with a sling, the gun of the time, so i figure its fair game, and one hell of a good time (no pun intended)

  • 2:11

  • would you share your plans or blueprints?

  • 1:51 fire it!!!!9 oclock!!!target sighted at 9 0clock

load the shell!ready for firing! fire!

  • ...didnt spill your beer did ya?....hehehehe yeah RARR!!

  • @runswithchainsaws He may not have spilled his beer but I bet he pissed his pants a little bit the first time he heard it fire. Just Kidding.

  • where did u get that cannon??

  • I built it in my shop. I had most of the material not much cost involved just 150+ hours.

  • you should do a thing on how to make it

  • I guess ur the real macgyver then :P. looks reel hard to build

  • nice video. how much does a replic like this cost?

  • ??? I built it in my shop. I had most of the material not much cost involved just 150+ hours.

  • nothing quite like alcohol and fire arms
