Abul-Haiyaj Al-Asadi said that Ali ibn Abu Talib said to him: "should I not send you on the same mission as the Messenger of Allah sent me? Do not leave any statue without obliterating it, or a high grave without levelling it."
So just to let you know, Sufis dont care about the Sunnah. 19Lion8 is proof. Making fun of those who destroy graves, while the Prophet (saws) himself commanded Ali (ra) to do the same. I guess the Prophet (saws) and Ali (ra) were "Wahhabis".

these were the graves of polytheists and the statues of false gods and idols. Destroying a grave is disrespect for the person who's grave you're destroying. even kaffirs know how evil grave desecration is. you can bring the same thing up to justify desecrating the tomb of rasullullah(saw). Which some wahhabis advocate doing. if Wahhabis cared about the sunnah they would have ikhlas in seeking knowledge and there hearts wouldn't contain kibr and nifaq.

@Crusaderdeluxe If a person directs an act of worship to other than Allaah, then this person has committed Shirk (associating partners with Allaah / polytheism).
Why? Because in Islaam NONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE WORSHIPPED EXCEPT ALLAAH, ALONE, WITHOUT ANY PARTNERS.
Therefore, those people who worship the dead, then they commit Shirk because they give a share of their worship to the dead and thus associate partners with Allaah in worship.
Those who commit Shirk are Mushrikeen (polytheists).

you're not directing the act of worship to. it's THROUGH not too. with this type of thinking you could easily say the salawat is shirk. The only scholars who view tawassul of the dead as shirk are those from the salafi manhaj. so you're saying hundreds of years of ulema were mushrikeen?

The Mushrikeen of olden times did EXACTLY what the Sufis of today do - They used to call upon their idols and seek their intercession in order to get closer to Allaah - BUT THAT WAS CLASSED AS SHIRK.
Sufis today call upon the dead Awliya and other than them to seek the intercession of the dead and to get closer to Allaah - THEREFORE THAT IS SHIRK TOO.
Shias today call upon the dead Imams in order to seek their intercession and to get closer to Allaah - THAT IS SHIRK TOO.

@Crusaderdeluxe As I mentioned earlier, the Companions of the Prophet used to ask the Prophet to supplicate for them ONLY WHILE THE PROPHET WAS ALIVE.
But when the Prophet died and left this world and moved onto the life in Al-Barzakh (period between death and the Day of Judgement), then the Companions did NOT ask the Prophet - THAT MEANS WE AS MUSLIMS CANNOT DO THAT.
My brother - Let us supplicate to Allaah alone and thus worship Allaah, alone.

The mannner in which many of the Sufis and Shias ask the dead is in the form of a DUA / SUPPLICATION.
For example, the Shias go to Karbala, to that mosque built above a grave and there they ask Al-Husain for intercession. They ask Al-Husain in a manner of a DUA - That is Shirk because they give a share of their worship to Al-Husain.

Read the history of the spread of grave-worship in the Muslim lands and you will realise this point my brother.
The truth is that the practice of supplicating / invoking the dead to seek their intercession is NOTHING to do with Islaam and in fact this practice is EXACTLY the same as the Mushrikeen (polytheists/ pagans) of old.

what makes it shirk because he's dead? explain this to me. someone with knowledge of hadith without knowledge of fiqh is like someone who has drugs but doesn't know how to prescribe them to you.-imam shaf'i. someone who wants to prescribe such drugs without really know how to prescribe them to you is a dajjal. don't quote qur'an and hadith to me as such. you're not a sheikh. noone gave you an ijazat to interpret qur'an or hadith.

What is Shirk? Shirk means to associate partners with Allaah / polytheism.
The act of DUA / SUPPLICATION is an act of worship. In our religion - Islaam - We can only direct acts of worship to Allaah, without associating partners with Allaah.
Those people (like many Sufi, Shia and Christian Pagans) supplicate to the dead and seek their intercession, that means they direct their supplications to other than Allaah - That is Shirk and Shirk is the worst sin in Islaam.

Allaah is unique and there nothing comparable to Allaah - The Scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah agree on this point.

HADEETH - The Prophet said: "Dua is worship". [SAHEEH (authentic) - Reported by Ahmad and the compilers of the Sunans).
Muslims direct all their acts of worship (INCLUDING DUA) to Allaah, alone. Allaah - The Lord of all creation, The only Creator and Provider, He alone deserves to be worshipped.
The Mushrikeen from among the Sufis, Shias, Christians and Hindus are indeed astray - How can these Pagans worship others besides Allaah? Why don't they worship The Creator, ALONE?
