Actually, if anybody has a problem with the psp shutting down, download the newest version v 8.1, it works just like promised in this video.

I am trying to learn Japanese. I have some books in pdf for learning Japanese and learning Chinese Characters. Some of the files are pretty big and the books are like 400-500 pages. Is there a program that lets you read big files on a PSP and you know can display pictures and the Chinese/Japanese/Korean text too ?

You don't need CFW or Bookr to open/read .txt files on your psp. Just save the txt file into the root menu, open up the web browser and enter file:/yourfile.txt into the address bar. It would be great if Sony would do what every psp owner wants and actually make pdf's compatable!!

it's surely because of the UTF set or unicode not supported by the psp. There's always another way around: you can make ur PDF a HTML file and open it up with the web browser
