@LostinH6llyw66d That might depend on two things - your ear isn't trained enough (no offense, it does take practice, or maybe you don't notice since you're concentrating on playing), or your guitar isn't intoned properly, which means even if you're in standard on the lower frets, you will be in another tuning on the higher ones. And you might not notice it if the volume of the music is cranked, obviously. The difference (1/4 step) is very small.

@SolidBiggie For this particular passage, I'd recommend picking on every 0 to start with. Other than that, there are no shortcuts. Practice with a metronome at a slow speed and you'll get it.

@imakazero Since you can play the other parts, I don't think you should have much problem with these. The hardest riff is probably the one at 2:30. But I don't think a lesson will help, it's all up to you. A lesson won't give you the skills, only the same information a tab would.

@LyricsArFun Sweet man! If you like Blackwater Park, I'd recommend Deliverance or Still Life at first. Still Life is their most epic album in my opinion, read the story (it's a concept album) and just enjoy the ride! Ghost Reveries and Watershed have a slightly more depressing atmosphere, but they're all awesome. My Arms Your Hearse is great too, I'd recommend it as the third, it's not too far from Blackwater. Most of them are concept albums so check them on wikipedia before listening. :)

@GamerNdAirsofter028 It's far from his hardest, but the phrasing is more complex than most of Dave's solos. Just listen to it, over and over, so you memorize every little detail and can put it all into context without hearing it at the same time. Then, learn it from a tab or ear.

@biggin6655 HAha, I really don't tune them at all. I just make sure they are adequately tense. When I started, I had this guide and tuned them all perfectly, but it doesn't work because I'd have to tune them all the time. And that's not a lof of fun ;)
