I LOVE this song....but the hook is maddenigly like John Cougar(pre-mellencamp) song "ain't even done with the night"....I'm sure Bob didn't lift it, but still it gets in my head!! Grrrrrrr!!!!
A work of cystalline purity and unadulterated emotion. If you want to be somebody, I mean if you really want to be someone Bob Mould can help you get there.
wow, you really love bob!, well for a long time i felt quite similar, yhe man is very talented, its great when one person can spur on another....i think its called Love...& love is strong...
this is such an amazing song, bob mould has got to be one of the best songwriters of his generation. although i will always have tremenous respect and admiration for his work with husker du, i genuinely beleive the sugar catalog to be the best power pop collection ever assembled. the guy just rocked with that line-up.
Enjoy the pop strum of one of our finest songwriters: Mr. Bob Mould. Hasn't Bob's music always been about setting the spirit free? That's what's happening here. c. 1994 Rykodisc Entertainment and Ryko International Inc. for the world outside of the United States. All rights reserved. Used by permission.

Tragic that these guys never got the props they deserved, this and "workbook" are straight up genius, period.

Bob's best country song! Just try singing it with a twang and imagine a little pedal steel guitar. David Barbe should get the Truckers to cover it...

@RoxvilleHall Absolutely brilliant idea...or at the very least have Jason Isbell to do it solo.

Bob Mould back in the days, when he was a B.I.L.F. And yes, I had a crush on him :)

Sugar, at their finest, trumped the Huskers and, with the exception of "Workbook," all of Bob's work.

Incredible, beautiful, timeless classic guitar-pop. One of my all-time favourites and one of the reasons why I love the music I love today.
