Burnout 3 was the first one I got, and I thought it was awesome. I got Paradise and I also liked it because of the open world, but they couldn't just add crash mode to it?? That's pretty much the point of the game! Other than that Paradise, in my opinion is a very, very good game. I wonder what they'll bring for Burnout Crash...

It was a really good but the first one is just good old fahioned arcade racing, the third took the feature of number 2 and boosted them then added Roadrage, Revenge took away time attack which is probably my favourite mode just for me to cruise around. =) i'm not saying i dislike the other games i just love 1 and 3 more =)

well the burnout series dropped acclaim and render ware in 3 and got taken over by ea still the classic arcade racing feel is in 1 and 2 but 3 had more of a realistic feel to it.

Burnout 1 is WAY underappreciated. It will always be my favorite because instead of supercars like the new ones, it just had regular cars. The game focused much more on dodging traffic, so much in fact that the game was almost like a puzzle. There was no flashy graphics or any other unneeded shit. It was just you, the road, and that traffic jam in front of you. I still like every Burnout, but the original takes the cake as far as I am concerned.

burnout 3-10 (the first burnout i've ever played, the funniest about crashes and stuff, faster crash mode)

burnout revenge-10 (graphs+everything i said up there)

paradise-8 the free ride on it destroyed with the fun some times

the road rages sucks on it because of that, THERES NO track, making it hard to dodge stuff and crashing enemies, the stunt run was a bad idea, the race was pretty good

the graphics we're awesome, and the variety of cars KICKED ASS.

burnout paradise is awesome with the update graphics, speed, and alternative routes to reach one destination. I like the crashes in the previous game. Burnout 1 to me is terrible because the crash scenes are so long. it is cool to see the crash but it gets annoying and it ruins your race time. and another thing, if you crash, it is really hard to reach the other players especailly the computers.

i kinda don't like the crash engine in paradise, the cars don't fly, traffic doesn't tend to pile up as in past games and with so many different routes there's the lack of intensity when the cars all seperate in the actual races

OMG yes thank you. That's exactly what i think the crashes in paradise are not as intense as in 3. The car just slides on the ground after crashing and barely travels like in 3. And I totally agree with the racing to, the multiple routes make the races very less intense.

i sold my copy of paradise a while back and honestly i don't even regret it. the open world make it boring because the races were horrible because there was no track. the crashes look nice and the cars deformation is pretty but the actual physics are not intense. I guess it's because they were trying to make it more realistic.

They were trying to make it more realistic, when you crash you wouldnt fly into the air if you hit a wall. Paradises crashes are better than any other game with how the car bends and crunches up. Burnout 3 crahes are horrible, the wheels fly above the car and it bends instantly and you get damge to an area that wasnt even hit. But I dont like having to choose your route, I get lost. But really when I play that game and get in a wreck its almost real like youre there.

but why make it more realistic? It's a arcade game and should be treated as such. Making it more "realistic" makes it boring the crashes are over in like 2 seconds after they start because the car won't freaking travel after a wreck, it just slides on the ground no over the top wrecks like previous burnouts which made it fun. If I wanted "realistic" crashes i would go play Grid or just watch Real TV.

Paradise wasn't crap but it didn't feel as fast as revenge and there was no way of telling how fast your goinf. There was no crash mode, no aftertouch or CrashBreaker. I hope the next Burnout will be like revenge Just mabey a option to turn traffic checking on or off.

Burnout 3 was certainly the best to me, the fast pace and the crashes were amazing at the time and like no other game. It never got boring. I think if Revenge had come before 3, people would be saying it was the best Burnout game ever. Fact is after 3 it was difficult for Criterion to improve on it more.
