It's a rod that flew right under your camera. They're called rods because they look like a stick with 2 sets of wings. They've been featured on Discovery before, people think they're a weird type of extradimensional insect that can't be observed with the naked eye but they do show up on camera and film. THey also pass through walls. Just more jinn if you ask me. Impish little creatures just messing around.

Its a "ROD". A problem within the camera where it has trouble reading a moving image such as a bird or insect.

I always try to pick and prod videos and say whats wrong about them but this video actually seems pretty legit. I mean it doesnt even look like a plane to start considering I cannot spot any lights or an actual wingspan. Plus it looks like its shooting into a downward motion which is uncharacteristic of an airplane. I mean you can't shift up and down that fast. Unless it was an F-16 but even then that would be a rare sight in itself just flying about.

Looks like an airplane. The lights look exactly like that. A line of strobing lights on each wing. However at 7 second exposure per frame, and mostly 2 (sometimes a 3rd strobe starting), and an equal amount of darkness between each strobe, it looks like each flash is about 2 seconds each, which seems pretty long. The constant light in the middle seems like the airplane's taxi/landing lights, which are turned on, prepping for a landing, which explains the downward motion.

it does look like the Iss, however I did not realize that is passes so low. I know NASA has a web site that gives the time and direction the ISS travels in depending on your location.

I think it might just be a slow plane, the bar like things on the side are just the strobes, and a few other things to do with the lights I simply can't be bothered to list.

Otherwise I agree with the other guy that it's a RODS.

@moviesunrated what you can't see is the angle i shot the video at. it's tilted up, into the sky and facing N-NW. knowing that angle and taking your theory into consideration, it would be an airplane flying perfectly perpendicular to the ground. in other words, this plane's flight path would be straight down and into the ground. possible yes, but no plane crashes were reported in malibu that night.

@moviesunrated what it looks like to the viewer is entirely dependent on the angle of the camera. for example, if i shot it sideways it would look like the light was moving horizontally. if you were standing on the balcony (and not looking thru the frame of the shot) you would see that it's moving straight down.
