I first heard this album back in 1970 when it came out and recall seeing them performing this song at the Winterland. I never used LSD but the Grateful Dead are my favorite group.

I can still remember the night at a friend's house when I first heard this. It was about 18 years ago which is half my lifetime away now. Whenever I hear this I can still picture the people, the setting, everything. It's amazing how one great song can do all that. We were probably tripping on acid blotters at the time, so that could be another reason why it still stands out in my mind so clealy! lol.

I been playin' this on my new 12 string guitar and even tho I got all the lyrics gettin' all them words in the first verse without trippin' over my own mouth (cuz I'm usually stoned) weren't no easy task. But I done it! DEAD HEAD FER SHURE!

I don't suppose you would consider adding the lyrics. It really would be nice to read / sing along. I've been listening to these songs since14 -that's a long time, just so you know but I also , unfortunately, have a hearing impairment and didn't always get the lyrics right! While amusing to my friends it was not so much for me. I used to cut and paste pages and pages of the lyrics to the songs I love but it really is time consuming and would just be nice if more posters would include them.

@4Topwood Thank you for your suggestion. I have done that many times. As I mentioned in my comment, I have amassed a rather large selection of lyrics. But it is time consuming to do that over and over, hence my ever so humble request for it to be included. :)

@linfinster I understand. I find it very hard to understand the lyrics just by listening to them and often get them garbled. Funny for others, maybe, but not for us.

This album must have come out when I was really paying attention (got off drugs and into alcohol), because all of it is familiar. But also had some nice people around who loved this music and had it playing all the time. Still makes me happy!
