You're in luck! Well, sort of. EA is giving away an HD version of Frontline free with the PS3 version of the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor 2010. It isn't a remake, since it's the exact same game with the exact same graphics, but it will look slightly better than it did in 2002 because it has been upgraded to HD. It's not like that matters, though. Graphics aren't important.

im trying i did that seaside stoway mission with only granades about an hour ago and got silver.but why i had no shots fired with this and sea side stoway had 24 shots fired?

That IS odd... But I do know that you must have at least 75% of health when you reach the end of the level to get a gold medal. To be safe, you should try to have 100% health when you exit the level. You may have to actively search for health, but if it gets you a gold medal, then it's certainly worth it.

Well, we all have our opinions... Those games may be somewhat more realistic than MOHF, but their gameplay is lacking in innovation, variety, and polish. They just aren't very fun to me. While this game isn't particularly innovative either, it was still fun and polished with good variety. But, hey, it's your opinion. If you like those games more, that's fine by me.

This one also takes me forever! (on X Box) I can't get the hang of the stick grenades and either throw them too far or not far enough...therefore blowing myself up! lol . The Germans also have an uncanny knack of throwing the grenades back..oh well. I'm fairly new at this but will get there in the end, just the last bit to negotiate..

This game was definitely somewhat difficult when I was younger, especially due to to the lack of checkpoints. If you are having trouble with the Germans throwing your grenades back at you, I would try turning on the "grenade cook" option in the options menu. With this on, pressing the reload button with the grenade equiped will make Jimmy pull the pin on the grenade before you throw it. That way, the Krauts won't have enough time to throw back the grenade... unless they catch it, that is...

Thanks for the advice and I am now slightly better using the grenades ...I prefer MP40 though. Your video does not quite go to the end, did you encounter any problems infiltrating the wet dock? I (and others it seems) can't jump onto the crates (after the last truck is destroyed) to access the beam going across to the wet dock. I can't get onto the crates! This is really annoying as it's right at the end! Thanks

I honestly don't know. I've only played the PS2 and X-Box versions, but from what I saw, it looked very similar to the PS2 version.

I do too. Today's games are ostensibly not as good as they were, even if they have better graphics and improved controls. I'd rather cruise down the streets of Vice City in a tank than play a game of bowling in the "greatest game of all time", GTA IV. Newer does not always mean better. But at least we have the classics, right?

Going from HD to last-gen graphics is never simple. Even if something looked really good in 2002, it now pales in comparison to just about everything on the current-generation of consoles. But MOHF is still awesome, even seven years later. :D

Just hold the D-pad up in aim mode until it won't zoom in any farther. In real life, the Springfield '03 could not zoom in quite as far, but maybe Jimmy has a special scope since he is a special agent. Thanks for the compliment!

although older and not as realistic, I don't think it's a long shot to MOH:F is one of, if not the best WW2 shooter out there. COD5 was just too generic IMHO. With its music and setting, frontline really made you feel the game, more than COD's graphics and constant blood and gore.

MOHF is an excellent WWII game, to be sure, and the D-Day scene is nothing short of spectacular. COD5 was a fun time, too,(especially in competititive co-op), but despite it's new setting, it felt like it had been done before, and done better (It's still better than Rising Sun, though). It also lacked the insane polish that COD4 had. MOH's spy-like style appeals to me, and has a greater variety than its competitor. To be honest, the original MOH on the PS1 is in my top 5 games of all time. :D

Judging from the comment you left on my D-Day video and this one, you obviously have something against this game. Which is perfectly fine, but I don't see why you have to rain hate down on it. Sure, MOHF is not a perfect game, nor is it extremely realistic, but it is a fun game for some of us out there. That's what games are for: fun. And personally, I don't think regenerating health or suppresion indicators are any more realistic than medical kits. It IS a GAME, isn't it?

I would have to say the PS1 original is my favorite MOH game. While not technically perfect (the draw distance was way too short), Medal of Honor was the most fun in the series, at least in my opinion.

I would go with Timesplitters, which had the benefit of being 60 frames per second at all times. But MOHF definitely has the best WWII shooter animations on the PS2.
