Read up on any Physics textbook! Check out the illustrations for the chapter introduction for magnetic induction.

I just used brute force to attach it there. All I was after was the current generation/revolution data, anyway.

What can I say....It's a micro-to-nano watt hand-powered off-the-shelf generator. Where did you ever find that uA meter? Hamster will need his exercise platform back soon. :)
