i just got one with the recent updates ...160 gig, 6 cell...and 2 gig upgrade. This is a very nice looking laptop for its price compare to others that look cheap. everything about this laptop is top notch from built quality and functionality...even better than their new 2nd genration s10 2 with is cheap looking. Only minus is the smaller keyboard and pad which i dont mind because i have small fingers. the addition express34 card is a plus which other netbooks lacks.

i have one already so far i like it. mine is 6 cell battery and 2gb ram. although the keyboard is a little uncomfortable to use but i guess i'll get used to it. browsing and downloading-just fine same with other notebooks. This one is so handy! i can bring it anywhere!

Keyboards can be a deal breaker. I am having trouble with my MSI Wind U100 -- just can't figure out how to access the forward slash. It is one of four symbols on a key, and I cannot access it with combined keystrokes (ctrl+key, shift+key, alt+key, hit-my-head-against-the-wall+k­ey). Does anybody know how to type the slash on a MSI Wind U100 (Canadian keyboard)?

this guy forgot to mention the expansion options under the touchpad/palm rest you access by removing the four screws on the bottom front of the notebook... the palm rest comes off without the keyboard needing to come off first, and under it is a location to plug a mini bluetooth module into the motherboard, and a mini PCIe card slot housing a broadcom b/g wifi adapter.. which means you can upgrade to a b/g/n adapter, or wireless broadband internally

A lot of notebooks/netbooks don't come with a restore disc these days. This is do to a licensing issue with microsoft and the fact that they charge OEM's for the restore disc itself. Instead they come with a restore partition that can be accessed through the computers bios if it is accidentally wiped or destroyed. This sucks however if the restore partition is damaged itself.

my experience.

i have owned 2 eeepc's 1 aspire one. and now the lenovo s10. the video or pics dont do it as much justice as it looks in person. it is a traditional looking laptop and not a fingerprint whore. the design is so professional and sleek it beats everyone else by far its very thin and it sits flat vertical to table not like all the other including the samsung. by far best design when i saw it at circuit city i had to buy it and it will be my last netbook! i found my one!

Great review. Lenovo usually gives an option to burn a restore DVD in the Thinkvantage utilities. I usually take advantage of this and do a clean install. To the user who said no manufacturer supplies restores discs, Dell does on all their business class notebooks. My X200 also came with a disc for both Vista and an XP downgrade DVD as well.

Also all the Intel Atom motherboards are Intel Reference based so thats why the package they come in is different but they are basically the same just depends on who you want to choose. HP, Dell, MSI, Lenovo. I'm gonna grab a Lenovo or HP because their customer support rocks hands down compared to everyone else. Youll notice all HD are lowpower 5400rpm because they can run 5v .55a

Yes, it should. At least my s10e does. press the Fn + F5 button to bring up the wireless options and you can turn bluetooth on.
