Wonderful circular breathing done by gentleman in red shirt. I really appreciate the history and culture behind these instruments, and would very much like to purchase one from you. Thank you:)
Those two players sound GREAT together!!! The Older gentleman is a Master Player! And I Love How the Younger man just plays the Drone by Circular Breathing! I may have to get one of these!!!! Beautiful sounds!!!!!!
The duduk is one of my favourite sounds, next to a nice set of uillean pipes:) especially a low C chanter and soft reed. These guys in this are fantastic! I hope I get some sort of squawk out of my one when it arrives.:)
DUDUK HISTORY: The duduk, is a form of oboe hand-made almost always of apricot wood, with a 1,500-3000 year history behind it. The duduk is strictly Armenian. Traveling Armenians have taken it to Persia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the Middle East and as far as the Balkans, where derivatives are played.
nurlan01lezgi, you must be the stupidest person alive.. Armenia is one of the most ancientest races dumb ass i can tell your not educated. go and eat the shit propaganda thats coming out of your mouth..
Yes some people are very uneducated. Armenia has been around far longer then most other countries, Lebanon (phoenicia) has also been around if not longer.
Benfirst, I'm glad you respect the instrument, but the Duduk is one of the oldest double reed instruments, a very ancient instrument dating back 1500-3000. The sound quality is just perfect on the Duduk, but $100 is most certainly reasonable. It's not just a wood pipe with holes, it's a instrument that has excellent history within the Armenian orgin.
Nurlan, the Duduk is most certainly with Armenian origin, not Georgian or Albanian, even though you think the origins are from Albania or Georgia (Which I haven't seen or heard from a source claiming the origins are from Albania or Georgia or elsewhere) Only Armenia is the main country where the Duduk came from. You may probably see Georgian or Albanian people playing the Duduk, but rarely, It's mostly/majority of Armenians playing the Duduk.
no albania or georgia arent even close to being as old as armenia. the duduk is over 3000 years old, and im pretty sure albania or georgia isnt even close to being that old
Georgia and Albania were in Kavkaz more then 3000 years ago, there was no armenia at that time. there were only some armen tribes in Anatolia then, and duduk is from Kavkaz!
