syd used an esquire, not a tele

@tiddlywinks98712 He used both. He even had a strat. But I think he mainly used the esquire(with the mirrored discs). Don't know why its often said he played a Telecaster. That might be a misconception.

Syd Barrett had both, a white Esquire that he customized with mirrors and a silver sheetings coat (please look at our other videos...), and after this he had a a black Telecaster with white bindings: this one have nothing to do with this painted guitar, but we were asked to paint Barrett's face on a RT (Telecaster model), we don't think there's something bad in it!

Hi Mark! Barrett's face is not a decal placed on the body, but it is an hand painting realized under the varnish layer before final finish.

I don't know.. he used some piggyback selmer amp plus echo binson, fuzz and ealry 60's esquire.. or 59 danelectro.. try to get this stuff..

We connected the guitar to a Fender Super 60 using its overdrive. We haven't used any other effect: the tone sounds great, isn't it?

Isn't it crazy that Fender haven't produced a signature Syd Barrett Tele yet? If they ever released a silver Esquire model with the mirrors on it I'd buy it straight away.

Yes, it's crazy, but it's not easy for a big industry like fender follow the constructive process of Barrett's mirror esquire, there are too steps made by hand...
