  • Nascar parts only last one race...maybe. I know a guy who makes parts for nascar, he owns all the machines. (he loves drag racing lol) I asked him about those parts, he said the only good thing is their accuracy. What I'm saying is Nascar parts aren't that good, they're designed to function for the race, once, they have high power setups with crazy weight reduction and are tuned to the brink of destruction.

  • @freakin1random Although they're probably still better than 90% of production parts.

  • . Some engines even have custom rocker arms that have as much as a 2 to 1 lift ratio, enabling the valves to open twice as far as the cam is cut. Simply amazing machines, they are hardly built for one time use, or tuned to the absolute "brink of destruction".

  • Running camshafts that require the block to be machined for much larger cam ebarings, an usually roller cam bearings, these cams have upwards of 0.895 inch lift, with huge duration (time they valves stay open per revolution) numbers

  • . The rings, bearings, etc are replaced after x-amount of use, as the engines are torn down for inspection. If they are running great, pass compression and other routine tests, they are left untouged for future use. SO many NASCAR racers still believe in luck, and the lucky parts, including engines! and most engines are custom built/tuned for each track they run. IE:The long tracks have their own set of cams, intakes, carb spacers, etc the preference of each team.

  • @freakin1random maybe you should read abhout Roush/Yates racing engines. I understand some of what your saying, but study their site. They lease race engines, they never sell them to the racers of nascar, but after they have run many cycles (some as much as several thousand miles) they at times, as right now as a matter of fact, they offer them for sale to the public, for use in drag racing, dirt track, some even de-tuned for street use. Yes these engines are rebuilt, often

  • @freakin1random 500 mi. at full throttle...no preasure there

  • CP Mongoloido postono! These pistons couldnt even handle 1000hp at 5 bar of turbo boost.

  • @nwfklan you realise that 5 bar is insane boost right??..

  • i have cp pistons, never used em before so will see how this summer turn's out lol

  • @jahabean i have them in my car as of right now. i have about 5k miles on them and they have been great. i know cp pistons are true to size meaning each piston is the exact size down to the thousandths of an inch

  • sr20det?

  • have pistons for m51d25 :) ?
